Gainsborough A Level students results are 'the best the school has seen'

All staff and members of the Governing Body at Queen Elizabeth’s High School would like to send our collective congratulations to our fantastic Year 13 cohort who have secured such a highly impressive set of A Level outcomes this summer. 65% of all outcomes secured by this year group have been A*-B grades (the best the school has seen), with a third of grades being A*-A grades. For a non-selective Sixth Form such as ours to secure an 84% A*-C pass rate (again, the best ever for the school) is testament to the character of the fine young people we have here at QEHS. Very well done. Time to celebrate! 👏🎉

Space Society students enjoyed an exciting model rocket launch yesterday, successfully launching three model rockets to heights of around 400 feet (120 metres). The activity brought together physics, engineering and computer simulation, culminating in spectacular launches and safe parachute recoveries.

Congratulations to Theodore S (9S) who has been accepted for Ballet Britain associates for the second year running starting in September. The associates are based in Leeds and allows him to work with industry professionals including teachers who have trained and worked with The Royal Ballet and Northern ballet.

Theodore is also a lead role in The Mob production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as Boris the spy. He has been part of The Mob since he was 9 years old.
