We have had an amazing start in Year 2! The children have really enjoyed our hook sessions on our new focus text in English 🚀 They searched for clues and used these to help them write their own predictions! Then we carefully created our own constellation pictures ✨🌟
We are excited to find out more about Rocket next week and use our own adjectives to describe her! ✏️ 📚

Our PE days in Year 1 & 2 are Wednesdays and Fridays.

🌟 What a great start to Year 6! 🌟

Year 6 have had a brilliant start to the new school year, and we’ve already been very busy! We’ve spent time thinking about what makes each of us special and unique and celebrating all the things that make us who we are. ❤️

Today, we explored our reading identities 📚 — thinking about what we enjoy reading, where and when we like to read, our favourite books and authors, and what helps us to enjoy reading.

📖 A little reminder for parents/carers:
Please use Learning with Parents to log any reading your child completes at home. We expect all children to read at home at least three times each week, and we’d really appreciate it if these reads could be logged on Learning with Parents.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic year ahead! 🌟

🌱 A brand-new adventure begins! 🎒✨

Today, our newest Reception children have taken their first little steps into their school journey at Gainsborough Parish.

There have been new friends to meet, stories to share, things to discover and lots of wonderful moments of curiosity and excitement. There have also been some very brave little moments from our children, and from their parents too. ❤️

We know that handing over your child and trusting someone else with such a precious part of their journey takes courage. Thank you to all of our Reception families for trusting Gainsborough Parish to walk alongside your children as they begin this exciting chapter.

We feel incredibly privileged to be part of their journey and can't wait to see them grow, flourish and discover all that they are capable of.
