šŸ„ŠšŸ‡æšŸ‡¦ Iā€™ve been given an incredible opportunity to go to South Africa!

Iā€™ll be joining on a mission to Zwelihle, Hermanus, working alongside Overstrand Whale Boxing Club (OWBC).

OWBC provides a safe and positive space for around 210 young people in the local community, despite working with very limited resources. The club has already achieved some amazing things, including producing South African national champions.

As a boxing coach, this is an opportunity that means so much to me. Boxing has played such a big part in my life, and Iā€™ve seen first-hand the confidence, discipline, resilience and sense of belonging it can give young people. Being able to take the skills and experience Iā€™ve gained and use them to give something back is something Iā€™m incredibly excited about. ā¤ļø

While weā€™re there, weā€™ll be supporting the work already happening within the community through boxing coaching, nutrition and sports science education, equipment and improvements to facilities, with the aim of creating an impact that continues long after we leave.

Now I need your help to get there! āœˆļø

Worst case, you learn.
Best case, you change your life.

Lately, Iā€™ve realised that some of the things I once only imagined are starting to become real. There are a few exciting opportunities ahead and a lot quietly coming together. Itā€™s a reminder to keep dreaming, keep working, and trust the process.

I started coaching Sunnie when he was just 7 years oldā€¦ now heā€™s nearly 10 and already showing signs of something special.
Heā€™s grown not just in skill, but in character, discipline, and beliefā€”and Iā€™ve had a front row seat to it all.

Heā€™s more than just someone I coachā€”heā€™s someone whoā€™s been by my side from the beginning of my own coaching journey.
A hardworking, humble, and gifted young lad whoā€™s starting to get the recognition he deserves, whether itā€™s in the ring or on the skipping rope.

Iā€™m genuinely excited for whatā€™s ahead, because I know how far he can go.

There are times Iā€™ve doubted myself as a coachā€”but seeing his progress, his work ethic, and the way people are starting to notice him reminds me I must be doing something right.
And as a young female coach, I donā€™t take his loyalty lightly. The trust, the consistency, the commitmentā€”it means more than people realise. šŸ‘Š
