Message from principal Emma Reynolds:
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students. Throughout Key Stage 4, this year group has shown remarkable resilience, determination, and commitment to College life.
Today, we proudly celebrate each student's individual success and growth.
This summer, our students sat examinations across a wide range of subjects, achieving strong outcomes.
The majority will now continue their journey into our Sixth Form, and we look forward to supporting them in their Post-16 studies
💫Exam Highlights 💫
🇪🇸Modern Foreign Languages – Spanish results are excellent with the average grade being 6
and 92% grade 5 or above
🥼Science– Physics results are superb with 96% at grade 5 or above with an average grade 7
across the year group
🎭Drama has achieved brilliantly with 76% grade 5 and 24% at the highest grade 9
📺 Media 52% of students attained grade 5 or above with 12% at grade 9
🧵Textiles – Exceptional progress has been made, with 95% of the cohort meeting or exceeding their target grades
🧮Maths and in particular Further Maths have achieved very well with 17% at grade 9.
⛑️Students of Health and Social Care and Child Development have achieved very well with 90%
at grade 4 or above.
💕SEND Achievement – The outcomes of our SEND students continue to impress with over 67% of SEND students surpassing their target grades across their GCSEs.
💙💗Boys and Girls – Our results show far less of a gender gap than seen nationally especially in
Maths where girls outperformed boys at grade 4+
We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 at our Awards Evening on Tuesday 24th November at the Memorial Theatre. This special event will highlight the many individual stories of progress and achievement that make this year group so unique. Further details will follow soon.
For our new Sixth Form students, the first day of Year 12 will be Monday 7th September, with a prompt start at 8:45am in Futures.
Year 13 students will return on Tuesday 8th September.
