Our Year 4 pupils are preparing to transition to Middle School in September. As part of that transition, they attended Kilve Court Activity Centre for a 1-night residential trip.
For some of the pupils, it was the first time they had ever stayed away from home, but you wouldn’t have guessed.
During their stay, they took part in a range of exciting activities including buggy building, climbing, archery, abseiling and circus skills.
The children showed great enthusiasm and resilience, with many overcoming personal challenges and trying new experiences. Behaviour throughout the trip was excellent, and pupils represented the school brilliantly. The staff are so proud of them all.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, independence, and teamwork, and all pupils returned with great memories of a fun and rewarding experience.

Exciting PE sessions at Christ Church First School.
As part of our fundraising efforts for Shine, the charity supporting those with Spina Bifida, our Topaz class have taken on some exciting extra PE lessons. Thanks to Nova Sports, who specialise in working with wheelchair users, the children are now becoming wheelchair basketball pros!

🌟 What a fabulous Trip to Carymoor!

Our whole school enjoyed an unforgettable trip where each class embraced exciting activities tailored just for them. Diamond class immersed themselves in the fun of Three Little Pigs day, Amber class embarked on an adventurous exploration, and Topaz class dived into the world of the Anglo-Saxons.

The children loved being outdoors, getting crafty, and yes, even a bit muddy! It was a day full of learning, laughter, and memories to treasure.

Thank you to all the staff and helpers who made this special day possible. Here’s to many more adventures together! 🌳✨

Amber Class has been exploring science through an exciting materials investigation. They were tasked with identifying the best material for bunting, considering flexibility and waterproofing. Testing various materials like paper, foil, card, and nylon, they used a Venn diagram to determine nylon as the top choice - true young scientists at work!🚩🧐
