Week 2 is here at Gracie Barra Frome!
We’re building strong foundations and sharpening core techniques across all classes this week. Whether you’re stepping on the mats for the first time or refining your game, here’s what we’re diving into:
Headlock Escapes: Essential self-defence principles to neutralise pressure, regain position, and stay safe.
Hip Throws: Mastering balance, leverage, and smooth takedowns to bring the fight to the mat with control.
Side Control: Building a heavy, pin-point top game and learning how to maintain control while opening up attack options.

Our new Competition Class is back this Wednesday from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Gracie Barra Frome!
Expect targeted situational sparring and hard rounds designed to sharpen your mental toughness and elevate your Jiu-Jitsu. Whether you're actively preparing for the podium or just looking to test your boundaries in a supportive, high-energy environment, this session is for you.

We’re launching a fundraising raffle at Gracie Barra Frome with one simple goal — to help fund the purchase and installation of a 24/7 publicly accessible defibrillator outside our school.
A defibrillator can make the difference between life and death when someone suffers a cardiac incident. Having one available outside the club means it can be accessed by our members, their families, local residents, businesses, visitors and anyone in the surrounding community when it is needed most.

🎫 Family tickets for 2 adults + 2 children

But this raffle isn’t really about winning a day at Longleat…
It’s about helping put a lifesaving piece of equipment in our community.
Every £5 ticket takes us one step closer to getting the defibrillator installed and available for emergency use.
