We had a fantastic morning at Rossetti House celebrating their harvest festival. We did lots of crafts and read a story together 🍂

Enjoying the sunshine in the garden today 🌞

- water play with mint leaves, pots & pans, syringes and pipettes (supporting gross and fine motor skills, social skills, language development, learning mathematics and many many more!)
- Sand play- making ice creams for friends (imaginative play, communication and language skills, supporting schemas)
- painting with water colours 🎨
- making train tracks 🚂
- exploring our nature bags- these bags are filled with binoculars, a book based on nature (bugs, flowers, ants and spiders), a clip board and pencil and a magnifying glass.

We visited Heavens Gate today and loved exploring. The children noticed changes in the environment, commenting on flowers that had disappeared and a bamboo bush that had grown “huge”! We also develop social skills, chatting to friends and helping those to need it when climbing trees 🌲

We love visiting Longleat. The children enjoyed a ride on the train, feeding the lorikeets and visiting all the different animals 🦥🦜🐊

We visited Bath City Farm 🚜 🐑 🐓 we enjoy feeding the goats, seeing alpacas, ponies and chickens and exploring their lovely park area 🐐

The children loving exploring paint on a large scale. No restrictions to their movements- just enjoying the sensory experience of feeling the paint between their fingers and making large movement (and of course, paint angels!)

One of our ducklings arrived on Tuesday after searching for the Gruffalo on the way to my house. Sadly he didn’t spot him, so we HAD to go walking through the deep dark wood to see if he would make an appearance… luckily, he did! The children spotted him sitting in a tree 😋

One part of being a childminder I absolutely love is watching these blossoming friendships. This embrace between these two friends whilst on a trip to the park started by a gentle stroke to the cheek followed by a hug ❤️🥰
