Sometimes you just need a pop of pink - says someone with a love of blue. Pink is not my go to colour but saying that I do love the different shades when I paint my houses, from baby pink to dusky tones. My next market is at Frodsham Artisan Market on Saturday 29th August - which is always a great event with lots of fabulous stalls. On hot days other jobs are done - like adding labels to the base of these new Scandi houses. It's definitely been too warm recently for long sessions of sawing in the garage, so switching to other tasks is easier. These are the more boring jobs that also go into running a small business.

I discovered some old stamps from Finland which has inspired this latest creation. It's truly a collection of vintage items, from old newsprint and a wooden ruler added into the mix. I've had these stamps for a while, hiding in my stash of 'useful' papers.

A little bit different, but today I've been making some Scandi houses, with hand-printed details. They make a colourful row of houses which can be rearranged into some lovely colour combinations. It's been quite therapeutic painting these houses and carefully adding the white lines and small dots.
