๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š Pupil Voice in Action โ€“ Living Laudato Si' ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒ

Today I wanted to share something that made me incredibly proud.

This wonderful poster was created by Olivia in Year 1 in her own time at home. Olivia has chosen to display it in her window so that others can see her important message about caring for our world.

Her poster reminds us that we can all make a difference by:
๐ŸŒ Turning off the tap.
๐Ÿ’ก Switching off lights when we don't need them.
๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Putting rubbish in the bin.
โ™ป๏ธ Recycling wherever we can.

At St Joseph's, we teach our children that we are stewards of God's creation. Pope Francis reminds us in Laudato Si' that our common home is a precious gift from God, and each one of us has a responsibility to care for it with love and respect.

Olivia has shown that she hasn't just listened to this message in school โ€“ she has taken it into her own home and community, becoming a young ambassador for our planet. This is exactly what living out our faith looks like: putting Gospel values into action and inspiring others to do the same.

Well done, Olivia. You have reminded us all that no one is too young to make a difference. Thank you for sharing such an important message with our community.

"The earth is the Lord's and everything in it." โ€“ Psalm 24:1

๐Ÿ’š We care. We belong. We learn together in faith. ๐Ÿ’š

โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰ What a Fantastic Family Fun Day! ๐ŸŽ‰โ˜€๏ธ
What a wonderful afternoon we have had at St Josephโ€™s Catholic Primary School!
It was fantastic to see so many children, families, staff and friends of our school community coming together to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon in the sunshine. The smiles, laughter and excitement on the childrenโ€™s faces said it all โ€“ today was all about making memories, spending time together and celebrating our amazing school community.
A huge thank you to the Fire Service for bringing along the fire engine for the children to explore. It was a huge hit and greatly appreciated by everyone.
Thank you also to our wonderful School Council, who have worked hard to raise funds throughout the year. Their fundraising helped ensure that every child was able to enjoy an ice cream and also contributed towards the cost of the bouncy castle. We are incredibly proud of the difference they have made.
A special thank you goes to all of our staff for organising such a fantastic range of activities, including face painting, the tombola, the penalty shoot-out and so much more. Events like these take a great deal of planning and preparation, and we are so grateful for everything they do.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to our volunteers who generously gave up their time to help throughout the afternoon, particularly those who painted faces and helped the event run so smoothly. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated.
Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents and family members who baked and donated cakes. The cake stall was a wonderful success and your generosity helped make the day even more special.
It was lovely to see children playing happily with their friends, families enjoying time together, and everyone embracing the spirit of the day โ€“ whether that was dancing, singing, laughing or simply enjoying being together.
It was also wonderful to see Father Paul joining in and enjoying the celebrations with us.
Days like today remind us what a special place St Josephโ€™s is. We are blessed with a caring, supportive and welcoming community, and it is a privilege to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school.
โค๏ธ A lovely community.
โค๏ธ Amazing people.
โค๏ธ An amazing day.
Thank you all for helping to make such special memories for our children.
