📢 SCHOOL UNIFORM REMINDER – PLEASE READ
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the October half-term break, we would like to remind all families of our expectations regarding school trousers at Lift Tendring.
We have noticed an increase in students wearing trousers that do not meet our uniform policy. We are giving families advance notice so that any necessary changes can be made over the half-term break.
👖 WHAT TROUSERS ARE ACCEPTABLE?
✅ Plain black, formal, tailored school trousers
✅ Straight-leg or appropriately fitted styles
✅ Traditional school trouser material
❌ Leggings, jeggings or stretchy, legging-style trousers
❌ Skinny-fit trousers that resemble leggings
❌ Flared or fashion-style trousers
❌ Trousers with visible zips, decorative features or embellishments
❌ Casual trousers that do not resemble traditional formal school trousers
🛍️ WHERE CAN I BUY SUITABLE TROUSERS?
We recommend looking at traditional black school trousers from retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Next, George at ASDA and TU at Sainsbury’s. Please check the style carefully, as not all trousers advertised as schoolwear meet our expectations.
📅 DEADLINE: MONDAY 2 NOVEMBER 2026
All students must return to school on Monday 2 November wearing trousers that fully comply with our uniform expectations.
From this date, our uniform policy will be consistently reinforced, and any students wearing unsuitable trousers will be addressed in line with the school’s policy.
💙 Need support? We understand that purchasing replacement uniform can sometimes be challenging. If your family needs assistance, please contact the school before the end of term so we can discuss how best to help.
Thank you for your continued support in maintaining high standards of presentation and ensuring our students are ready to learn.
