This page will be used to communicate any news or progress made on obtaining our Pelican Crossing!
I started a petition (https://www.change.org/PCCForRavenscote) in September 2018 to get a safe crossing installed for the children of Ravenscote, also serving Tomlinscote and St Augustine's. Since then the campaign has really gathered momentum with local/BBC radio stations, newspapers and internet tv channels getting involved, I've even broken the county lines and appeared in a Hertfordshire newsp

Today was the grand opening of the pelican crossing, it was so lovely to see all the happy faces and I’m feeling very blessed and proud. I hope it exists for a very long time 🙏🏼🚦💜🚦

Heatherside Christmas Tree Light Switch On 🎅🎄
Heatherside Ward Residents Association will be switching on the lights on the Heatherside Christmas Tree next Sunday, the 27th November. Gathering at 4.30pm in the Heather Ridge Arcade. The lights will be switched on by Louise Grainger, the Ravenscote Crossing campaigner at 5pm. Everyone is very welcome to join to sing a few carols and welcome Christmas to Heatherside.

What more can I say, apart from “job done” 👍🏼
I’ve been down to the Pelican Crossing and it’s all working wonderfully, just a little bit of tarmac to be finished by the looks of it…
