Freuchie Primary School Parent Council This is where you can find out all about what the Parent Council is doing, with news, events, updates and fundraising achievements.

The main duties of the Parent Council are to:

- Support the work of the school & Nursery, for example, by advising the school on its policies
- Organising social and fundraising events
- Promoting contact between all parents and the rest of the school community
- Discussing anything that’s of interest to parents

Any parent with a child at the school or Nursery is automatically a member of the Pa

rent Council as a whole and can join the Parent Council Committee and we actively look for more Mums and Dads to join. Any parent may also attend the monthly PC meetings, usually held the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm. If you have anything you would like to be brought up at a meeting please let us know or ask any of the Parent Council. Every £1 raised through Parent Council fundraising is spent on your children so we organise fundraising events such as the Summer Fayre which allows us to provide the school & Nursery with:

Provisions for each classes Christmas parties
Christmas present for every child & organise Santa
P7 leavers trip & meal
P7 leavers presents
Ice lollies at sports day
Part funds school trips
Transport for the P6/7 trip to Lagganlia in Cairngorms
Storage units and facilities within the school
School running shirts
School football strips. Net books and ipads
Cameras
Projectors for each classroom
Lots of library books & novels
Theatre trips

Football Card Fundraiser

Missed our World Cup Warm-Up event? You can still get involved!

Football fundraising cards are available from the school office for anyone who would like to take part and support the Parent Council's fundraising efforts. Completed cards and funds should be returned to the school by Monday 22nd June.

There is absolutely no obligation to take part, but any support is very much appreciated.
