Another warm summers night at ISKC this evening but it still didn't stop us from working hard

We worked basics, line work ,kumite drills, weapons work ,freestyle work ,kata work and worked on sweeps

Very pleased with the effort that was put in by everyone you all did amazingly well

This Sunday is the start of our 1 to 1 sessions at brundish if you want any extra work and private sessions feel free to get in touch with me

's been a busy time for ISKC and for the 1st time we competed at the home nations tournaments for the 1st time competing at 4 out of 5 tournaments English open , Scottish open , British International and Welsh open unfortunately we couldn't make the Irish this time around

3 from the club attended all 4 of them and to say they were fantastic is an understatement

Toby Graver is now the ENGLISH OPEN , SCOTTISH OPEN, BRITISH INTERNATIONAL and WELSH OPEN CHAMPION 2026

Winning 4 massive titles like this is a massive massive achievement in itself and is a testament to the hardwork he has put in to achieve such accolades

He has worked for many years with the WKU ENGLAND PRESIDENT Matthew Hyndman and WKU HEAD KUMITE COACH Allan Westwood WKU KATA COACH Hjalmar Dentlinger along with his SENSEI Aaron Graver and with there guidance has gone on to achieve these accolades

Congratulations on your achievements Toby keep working hard and keep on pushing the boundaries young man

A special mention aswell goes to Leo Brown and sensei Aaron whom also attended all 4 tournaments aswell and medalled in each tournament

Congratulations to you both you both have done ISKC proud and yourselves keep up the hard work

WELSH OPEN BRONZE

Next up for ISKC tournament wise is the WKU European Championships in Dortmund in October
Where all 3 will be going to represent England and ISKC once again

WKU has changed the lives of so many people at ISKC and we always look forward to testing ourselves against the best win or lose we do it together as a family and as one

ISKC competition course Ashfield session

Very very pleased with the intensity displayed today 😀 everyone gave there all and showed me how much they really wanted it

We worked all kumite and cardio today focusing on taking opportunities straight away when it's in front of you

Distancing before shots are thrown and keeping it simple as simple techniques win fights

Thank you to everyone that attended it's very much appreciated will see you guys next class

Quiet class this evening due to the hot and sticky stuffy weather but the ones that attended gave there all this evening we worked alot of kumite and kata this evening

Very pleased with the effort from you all this evening

Will see some of you on Saturday for our course

Session this evening at brundish we worked grading work and alot of kumite drills as we look ahead to comps later on in the year

Very pleased with the effort guys thank you for giving your all

Summer holidays are in full swing and lots missing but we still had a good session this evening working basics, kata, kumite drills ,Japanese work and self defence

Everyone was amazing very pleased with you all the commitment and effort was amazing

Will see you all next class and see some of you at WKU England Traditional & Freestyle squad training with the family

Good class tonight at hacheston we worked alot of syllabus this evening followed by plenty of kumite drills and lots of kata work aswell

We also celebrated as a club the guys that attended the wku Welsh open championships last weekend

Keep working hard guys and il see you next class very pleased with you all

Quiet class this evening so we worked upcoming grading for Leo and Toby as they prepare to take there 1st kyu gradings in August

Both were put through a mock grading and both did very well

As always keep working hard lads I believe in you both

So ISKC joined forces with LSKC ENGLAND and we attended the WKU Welsh open championships in high spirits

And I'm extremely proud of everyone
You gave your all and showed why I have so much faith in you all

In total ISKC came home with

1x Gold
3x Silvers
5x Bronze

Added with The rest of LSKC ENGLAND we were 3rd overall

Special mention goes to Toby as he is now welsh open champion congratulations

Along with Leo for stepping up and having ago against the men for the 1st time something that is really not easy to do

Also to Carla and frankie both came for a step up in competition and both were pushed very very hard and both go home with a lot more experience and both have learned a lot from this tournament extremely proud of you both as those groups were very hard

A massive thank you to Matthew Hyndman for including us in LSKC ENGLAND and looking after us all always and I always appreciate it

Thank you to Nick Clarke for hosting the wku welsh open championships and for having us and running a very smooth competitive tournament we look forward to returning again

Thank you to all of LSKC ENGLAND for looking after my students and making them all feel welcome as always

I really appreciate it and can't thank you all enough 🙏
