Great to see Matt, Vicky and all aboard Helen Mary R get this awesome recognition.

Well done all. 🥳

Today, Holly has chosen to give a shout-out to Morvargh Sailing Project based in Fowey, Cornwall.

They do some brilliant work getting young people out on the water and using sailing to build confidence, resilience and teamwork. ⛵

We’re really pleased to have them as one of our partners. 💙⛵

Good morning from a very gorgeous Southampton.

Now let’s tick off the Boat Show box and lend our support to our local legends, the awesome Morvargh Sailing Project.

COFFEE MORNING AT GALLANTS SAILING CLUB

We’d love for you to join us on Saturday 26th September, 10am–12 noon for a relaxed and friendly morning of tea, coffee, homemade cakes and good company, all while supporting our junior sailors.

There will also be a bottle tombola, and you’ll have the opportunity to watch our juniors out on the water during their Tera Traveller training and onboard session.

All money raised will go towards new buoyancy aids and sails for our boats, helping to keep our young sailors safe and our boats ready for the water.

Everyone is welcome, so come along, bring a friend, enjoy some cake and help support our junior sailors!

Our Safety Boat Crew are now recruiting. They are looking for additional volunteers to join them on the water next season. Full training will be provided throughout the winter months and there is generally a social event or two thrown in for good measure...

All stations, all stations. This is Bridge.

Tomorrow, I’ll focus on a round up of the cruisers and their differing races.

Thank you all for your support to not only us, but to all our other Regatta partners also. It makes it enjoyable to blog, for sure, even if we are playing catch up.

Keep having fun, wherever you may voyage 😁

This is Bridge, signing out for this evening 😈

Rare last minute opportunity for local youth.

That was the Week that Was Part 1, contd, again….

Of course, what you have to keep in mind here is that these young people were relative strangers, some may have had a little sailing experience, whilst the majority did not, when they joined their vessels to come to sail the Passage events at Fowey Sailing Regatta.

Strangers, uncertain, nervous, and all the fears of the unknown that go with being young in this crazy world, they stepped up.

By the end of their adventure, we saw not just 7 fully functioning teams, but a giant team of new friends, all sharing a life changing experience with the knowledge that they can achieve dreams.

Some pictures of their social evening at the Fowey Gallants Sailing Club, and prize giving, which was held at the Royal Fowey Yacht Club last Monday evening.

And a big shout out to you all. May you go on to be the confident happy individuals we witnessed and know you can be. 🥳
