Chaidh ar clasaichean as sine còmhla ri clas nas oige gus pàirt a’ ghabhail ann an cèilidh. Ceud mìle mìle taing don pàrantan BSGLA againn Meghan Henderson agus Robert Nairn airson a’ tighinn a’ staigh agus a’ cluich dhuinn.🎻🪗Chòrd e rinn uile gu mòr🤩

What a week we’ve had celebrating Gaelic Week. 🤩A week full of fun, happiness and of course Gaelic. We were extremely lucky to end Gaelic week with a school ceilidh. Our older classes partnered up with a younger class and took part in a ceilidh. A HUGE thank you to our BSGLA parents Meghan Henderson and Robert Nairn for kindly volunteering to play for us. 🎻🪗All the pupils had a great time🤩

Another big thank you to all of our parents, pupils and staff for helping organise such a memorable and exciting Gaelic Week. We loved having so many families come along to all of our events and coming together to celebrate Gaelic language and culture. An extra big thank you to Miss Chaimbeul who organised the week for us- abair seachdain spòrsail🌟Ceud mìle mìle taing dhuibh uile. 🫶🏻

🚑 Help Us Raise Funds for a School Defibrillator 🚑

We’re raising money to purchase a defibrillator for our school — something that could truly save a life in an emergency.

We have very kindly been donated a collectors’ model lorry from Ferguson Transport & Shipping — this is number 35 of only 165 produced, making it a fantastic and rare piece for any collector!

🎟 Raffle Details:
• £5 per ticket
• Only 60 tickets available
• Once all numbers are sold, we will use a random number generator to draw the winner
• After all payments have been received we will make the draw.

We’re also delighted to share that we’ve secured a generous £400 donation from the Rotary Club to put towards the purchase — which is a fantastic start!

Chruthaich C3 baidsichean ‘s fàinnichean iuchrach airson seachdain na Gàidhlig. Rèic na sgoilearan seo air Diardaoin aig an Cafaidh Sona. Tapadh leibh gu a h-uile duine a’cheannach fear😃

P3 created Gàidhlig badges and key rings and sold them on Thursday at our Cafaidh Sona. Thank you to everyone who visited their stall & bought a Gàidhlig badges & key rings.
P3 enjoyed making them, chatting to people in Gàidhlig & raised an amazing £92.35. 😊 💷

Abair feasgar a bha againn air Diciadain 🤩Thàinig grunn de luchd-tadhail dhan sgoil againn airson bruidhinn mu na h-obraichean aca. Bha Gàidhlig aig a’ mhòr chuid agus bha sinn cho taingeil gun tug iad àm a-mach bho na làithean-obrach trang aca airson tighinn a-staigh ’s beagan innse mu na dreuchdan aca.

What a successful afternoon we had on Wednesday! 🤩

We welcomed a group of adult volunteers to the school to talk to our children about their careers and workplaces. This was very informative with lots of equipment, kit, tools, materials, leaflets, videos and pictures all on display to enhance the experience. Most spoke to the children in Gàidhlig which was just fantastic!
We are incredibly grateful to all who volunteered to come along. The event would not have happened without your support.

Bha feasgar sgoinneil againn aig “An Cafaidh Sona” bha e cho math ur faicinn ann agus sibh uile a’ dèanamh oidhirp cho mòr Gàidhlig a bhruidhinn. 👏

We had such a lovely aftersoon at “An Cafaidh Sona” it was just lovely to see you all there. It was fantastic to hear everyone make such an effort to speak Gàidhlig. 🤩

Thank you so much to everyone who kindly donated money and baking- we are extremely grateful. We recieved so many donations that we will have a bake sale tomorrow morning for the whole school so that everyone can enjoy the lovely cakes and biscuits.🍪 🧁

Dh’ ionnsaich agus sheinn gach clas aon rann bhon t-òran Teann a Nall. 🎵🎤Bheir sùil air a bhidio gu h-ìosal gus an t-òran a chluintinn. ‘ S math a rinn iad uile! 🌟Taing mhòr do Miss Robertson gus na seiseanan seo a’ ruith dhuinn agus am bhidio air leth seo a chruthachadh.🤩

Each class took part in a singing workshop with our Edinburgh Univeristy student Miss Laura Robertson yesterday. Each class learned and sang aon verse from the infamous song Teann a Nall.🎵🎤 Have a look at the video below to hear the our pupils sing. A big well done to all involved!🌟 And a big thank you to Miss Robertson for running these sessions for us and creating their fantastic video.🤩
