Starting Next Week! Studio Time for P6s, P7s and S1s! Book a slot and join us in the Room 13 art studio in Caol Community Centre. Young artists will have the opportunity to get fully immersed in the creative process - from ideas through to an exhibition at the end of the day.

Young artists can spend a day making art in Room 13 and sharing their work in an exhibition at the end. We have 10 places available for each day.

Artist Richard Bracken, along with Room 13 volunteers will guide and challenge each person as they work on their own ideas alongside their peers.

Our Lochaber High group come to Room 13 every Wednesday afternoon to spend time developing their own ideas and working with new materials.

The group have been keen to show everyone their work in progress in a mini online exhibition. Scroll through to see the range of their work!

🎉New P6s, P7s and S1s can get some Studio Time over the summer!

🎨Make use of the great materials and equipment available in Room 13. We have plenty here for painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, collage and drawing. Each day will end with a mini exhibition for family to see!

Choose from the 6th, 7th, 13th & 14th of July. There are 10 places for each day.

Each day is 10am-4pm and run by Lead Artist Richard Bracken.

It's been great seeing the work of a group of Lochaber High pupils emerging over the past few weeks. Each person in the group has their own interests and ideas and has been using Room 13 to explore new materials and ways of expressing the things that matter to them.

Here is a wee look at one of the artists in the group, who was very keen to share his work with you all on Facebook!

"The train drawings are a template for me to use for my upcoming anime/manga story. They are based on real trains including the JIVR CG2 Locomotive (based in Japan) and the Jones Goods Class built in Scotland."

A really interesting way of bringing 19th century Scottish engineering into a futuristic storyline using the manga art form. We're looking forward to seeing how it develops!

At the end of term we'll be showcasing work from this group in an online exhibition.

🗻Join artist Maddie Lennon who will show us some creative ways of playfully exploring our local environment over two days.

We'll work with things we find on the shore and use digital equipment like cameras and scanners, as well as traditional, good old-fashioned drawing, collage and printing too!

Best experienced by coming to both sessions.

Room 13 is a relaxed and friendly art studio in Caol Community Centre. The session will be led by Maddie Lennon, with Room 13 Lead Artist Richard Bracken. We'll be working outdoors and indoors.
