Dyke Primary School D**e Primary School page will keep parents and carers up-to-date with school news, events and important dates for the diary.

Page is run by parent volunteers. D**e Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the village of D**e and the surrounding rural area. This session the school has a roll of 91 children taught in 4 multi composite classes. The school building comprises of 4 classrooms and has an open area which accommodates groups for more active learning activities. The school also has a gym hall and can

teen area at the opposite side of the road which also houses the music room. We have a large grassed playing field at the rear of the building and a tarred play area to the front. We have developed a vegetable garden at the back of the hall and have a quiet space at the rear of the school building ideally suited to teaching small groups. We have also installed an adventure trail in the back playground and a storytelling area at the front of the building. We have an article in the Forres Gazette about an exhibition of art work done by our creative pupils...
The Odyssey: Journeys Home, opens on Saturday the 21st of February at The Moray Arts Centre, Findhorn between 2-4pm. It then runs till March the 8th.
Pop along and see everyone's hard work, from P1 to P7 😁.

The climbing frame at D**e Primary School is falling into disrepair with a section already removed and boards rotten underfoot. The Parent Council have been working hard to raise funds and applications are being made to funders to raise an eye watering £80,000 to pay for a replacement frame that the kids in the school, nursery and local community can all enjoy. However there is no single fund that will grant us the full amount and raising the money needed is going to take time and continued effort. As the play equipment is for everyone in the community and not just the school, we are reaching out to the local community, local businesses and seeking the support of extended family to support us to reach our target; to provide excellent physical play opportunities for our young ones, in and out of school hours. Local kids shouldn't have to go all the way to Forres for decent play equipment. If you can, please make a donation to the parent council account. (Details below). A lot of people giving just £1 will quickly add up. Thankyou and please do share with friends to spread the word.
