From local practice to global dialogue 🌍
The Findhorn Foundation has been granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)—recognising more than three decades of bringing Findhorn’s experience of sustainable settlement living, transformative education and a culture of peace into dialogue with the UN.
Our unique contribution lies in offering real-world evidence of how human settlements can restore regenerative relationships with ourselves, society and the Earth—through low-impact living, local governance, cooperative economics, simplicity and the sharing of resources. It also brings decades of experience in reflective dialogue and creative conflict resolution: capacities urgently needed in the world today.
In June 2026, the Findhorn Foundation was granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council – ECOSOC. This milestone marks more than three decades of engagement with the United Nations and opens a new chapter in our contribution to international dialogue.
