How are you getting on with the Summer Reading Challenge? We know our pupils love to read, making on average 19 months progress in reading over the course of the last session! πŸ‘

During the last week of term we started our Extreme Reading Challenge too! All you have to do is have your photograph taken as you read a book in an unusual place (pupils and their family members!). It would be brilliant to have even more examples so please share any Extreme Reading photos with us to display in school after the holidays πŸ˜πŸ“–πŸ„πŸŒ›

A huge thank you to the organisers and supporters of Forres Theme Day for donating money to our school. We used this to purchase a fantastic new construction set called MakeDo, which allows the children to make amazing models out of cardboard. They already love this new set and we can't wait to see how their creativity develops.

A group of children proudly presented their Big Build at Moray College today as part of a DYW project. They worked so hard to overcome many challenges along the way and created a stunning model of Logie Steading & Estate as part of their 100th birthday celebrations. A huge well done to all involved. This was an incredible achievement πŸ‘βœ¨

A snapshot of recent learning for P1-3s ✨

The Logie Farm was newly created today, with LOTS of excitement! After the arrival of four hens from the Welfare Trust a few weeks ago, we are also learning about hens and how to care for them. We read a story today about a hen called Betsy who lays eggs in the strangest of places.

We have also been learning about measurement and symmetry.
