Registration officially closes this Thursday 15th October for my 5-week Sussex Harvest & Baking Term..
If you’ve been looking to try a new creative hobby, step away from screens, or just enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening with a lovely group of locals, this is your invitation. I focus entirely on the accessible craft of hand-building, guiding you step-by-step through every project.
October students will be making:
🌾 A miniature hand-sculpted Sussex trug with tiny clay vegetables - or cats or whatever you want to model
🥣 A classic kitchen batter bowl
🍏 A sponge-printed casserole dish ready for autumn baking
• Cost: £185 (Includes all premium materials, glazes, and firings)
• When: Starts next week (w/c 19th October). Tuesday/Thursday evenings or Wednesday afternoons.

Trugs🥕& Apple Crumble🍎 Register by 14 Oct. There are still spaces on the Sussex Harvest course, so if you haven't registered yet, please do. Besides the trug and batter bowl, we are making sponge-printed baking dishes that you can really use in the oven. Very practical.

If you're nervous about trying pottery, please don't be. Hand-building doesn’t require natural drawing or painting skills—it’s just a rewarding, step-by-step process using templates, coils or just your fingers.

The Sussex Harvest Term (5 Weeks | £185)
• w/c 19th October – 16th November•
Options: Tuesday or Thursday evenings (6:30pm), or Wednesday afternoons (1:30pm).

Together, we will craft a miniature Sussex clay trug filled with tiny autumn vegetables, a classic kitchen batter bowl, and a beautiful sponge-printed dish perfect for hot apple crumbles.🍂

Hand-build something that's just right for the purpose and make yourself happy. Look around your house. Do you have disorder? Are your toothbrushes and combs all over the sink? Do you have an over-flowing junk drawer full rubber bands and paperclips? (Or do you just want to impress your guests with a stylish crisp bowl?) Preparation and Schedule for September 2024 Course Students This is my grande scheme! I expect that working on your piece will take the entire class time. However, we all work at different paces. If you finish early, I have a few small projects you can do while the others keep working....

In the September Course, two smaller projects will help you build a "toolbox" of pottery skills to equip you for making your main project Our main project in September will be a figurative form.
