Today we welcomed Goalkeeper Dale Hind in for his first Situation Soccer training session.

With Dale's match being postponed today, he came in and worked on all things Goalkeeper!!! Footwork, distribution & shot stopping we covered it all!! ⚽💥

Warm up's & SAQs in Football 🏃🏼‍♂️

'Warm up' A phrase that everyone knows, but why are they so important, and why do we need to do them?

Put simply, the purpose of warming up before physical activity is to prepare both mentally and physically for your chosen sport. The aim of the warm up process is to wake the body up and get it ready for exercise. 🌤️

Above is a great example of young situation soccer client Jaxon, going through one of the sets of his SAQ warm up. SAQ stands for, speed, agility & quickness. It is a method of training that aims to improve an athlete's ability to perform explosive, multidirectional movements! 💥
