"My work experience is with Folkestone Invicta Football Club and I'm shadowing the Head of Finance. It is really good to get this experience and doing something that I actually enjoy and want to do.

"Studying a T Level just gives you a better experience as I feel like you learn so much more and it can lead you onto bigger things."

Start your career in the trades, and achieve a Level 2 Painter and Decorator Apprenticeship, with an exciting new position at Clarkson and Son LTD.

Based in Tenterden, you'll be joining an expert team of interior and exterior decorators, learning how to prepare surfaces, understand what it takes to make it in the trades and work on exciting projects. 🧑‍🔧

Your studies will also be accompanied by one day a week at EKC Folkestone College, where experienced lecturers share their professional knowledge and skills, so you can become a better tradesperson.

After you've accepted your offer on Kent Choices and received your letter in the post, it's time to enrol at the College on the date and time listed on your letter.

You'll need to bring:
âś… Proof of Maths and English exam results
âś… Email and telephone numbers of two next of kin
âś… Legal document with your full name and date of birth
âś… National Insurance number

Turning creativity into a future career. 🎥

After achieving a Merit in Creative Media Production and Technology at College, Harley is continuing to develop his YouTube channel while looking for opportunities to begin his career in the media industry.

He said: "I started a YouTube channel because of what I learnt during my course. Some people thought I was spending too much time on it, but it’s going really well. My advice is to trust yourself and believe in what you’re creating."

Through his course, Harley has developed his creative skills, collaborated with others and gained the confidence to turn his ideas into reality.
