🍳 We're excited to be hosting a special Young Cooks Masterclass at MidKent College this week for students from Maidstone and their parents/carers.
For more than 15 years, Social Enterprise Kent's Young Cooks programme has inspired children and young people across Kent and Medway to develop confidence, practical life skills and a love of cooking through hands-on experiences. Hundreds of young people have taken part, learning valuable skills that support healthier lifestyles and greater independence.
This year, we're delighted to be delivering an inclusive cook-along masterclass, giving young people and their families the opportunity to cook together under the guidance of professional chefs in MidKent College's training kitchens.
Participants will be preparing a delicious Chicken Kedgeree while learning:
✅ Practical cooking techniques
✅ Kitchen confidence
✅ Food safety and knife skills
✅ Nutrition and healthy eating
✅ Independence and life skills
A huge thank you to Golding Homes for funding and supporting this event. Their commitment has enabled us to create an accessible and engaging experience for Maidstone students, helping young people build confidence, develop new skills and create positive memories with their families.
We're looking forward to welcoming everyone and sharing what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of learning, cooking and achievement.
