On a record breaking weather day, Dom didn't break a sweat! Thank goodness for air conditioning 🥵🔥. Passing 1st time today 🥇, the examiner was very complimentary of your drive. The 0810 test in Folkestone is an early one, but it felt especially early this Monday morning. 😴. Well done Alex for not reaching over and just snoozing that alarm this morning ⏰️, because this morning was yours!!
In this job every pass is so special, but you have those that really stand out. Today was one of them moments. Alex has been with me for ... a while shall we say. Learning hasn't always come easy, and there's been plenty of hurdles and mountains to overcome. But you've always got yourself back up and gone again. Today that perseverance and training paid off. About 2 months ago, we agreed together that Alex was now an independent and safe driver. Instead of pushing your test back, we pulled it forward with confidence. Here we are celebrating that moment! We both know how many doors this will now open for you now. You've also grown so much as a person since that first lesson we had together, I encourage you going forward to keep working hard and you'll achieve those goals!

As a driving instructor, I can no longer manage a students test. This now must be done by the student themselves. It does mean I'm no longer able to swap tests and all test management must be done by the student.

From today, there will be more changes for learner drivers.

Only you can book or manage your car driving test. This means your driving instructor won’t be allowed to book it for you.

From today (12th May) I am no longer allowed to swap tests for my students. Please keep this in mind if booking a test and always check with your instructor first! Follow the link for further information.

This means your driving instructor won’t be allowed to do this for you.

Sam went for the double this week! Passing his CBT last week and then buying a new bike, the pressure was on today to pass that CAT B and get his full licence! Keeping his cool on one of the warmest days of the year so far was not a problem for Sam. This was not a solo project, and much of Sam's training was done with another brilliant local instructor Matty! Sam completed his training with me (Sam).
