Huge congratulations girls! Well done.

Some brilliant Rugby news!

Back in March, 7 of our brilliant U16 girls were scouted by England coaches during a match against Millfield. While the scouts initially came to watch the opposition, our team stole the show with an incredible win—completely turning the coaches' attention to our players!

Fast forward through trials, and we are thrilled to announce that 3 of our students were officially accepted into the England Ladies Talent Pathway!

They kicked off their journey with their very first training session at the beginning of October. We are hugely proud of all 7 girls for making an impact and can't wait to see what’s next for our trio on the national pathway!

✨ DANCE AT REDBORNE IS FLYING HIGH! ✨

Our dance students have had an incredible time this half term diving into masterclasses with industry professionals! 🩰🔥

✨ Contemporary Workshop: GCSE & A Level Dancers worked with Contemporary artist Lisa Spackman—director of Two Thirds Sky and the Dance2 Bedfordshire youth platform, exploring dynamic technique and creative choreographic work.

🎭 Jazz Workshop: Redborne Dance Company members were treated to an electrifying Jazz session led by ex-Redborne student Samuel Herbert! Fresh off the stage from hit musicals including Cats, Saturday Night Fever, and Bat Out of Hell, Samuel brought West End energy straight back to our studio.

💃 After-School Dance Clubs: Don't forget, our extra-curricular dance club is already in full swing every Tuesday after school!

- An informal chance to share ideas, hear from experts, and pick up practical tips for supporting young people through their school years.

We welcome a number of guest speakers, who will explore:
- ‘The adolescent brain’
- Safety in the Community
- Online safety and navigating safe phone use
- Developing resilience in young people
- Talking about healthy relationships

In addition, we will have representatives from our partner support agencies who work with students in and out of school. Including:
- CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
- School Nursing team
- Brook
- Education and Diversion team at Bedfordshire Police
- Q:alliance

They will have information on hand about the services they offer and be available to talk about individual concerns and queries you may have.

🎵Some great news to start off our new school year 🎶

Redborne has been selected as a National Lead School for Music BLMK Music Hub.

The Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Music Hub brings together local music services, schools, and cultural organisations to ensure high-quality, inclusive music education for every child across our region.

As a Lead School, we act as one of the centres of for music education. We will be working directly with the Hub to:
✨ Champion high-quality music provision in our local community.
🤝 Share best practice, resources, and expert guidance with neighbouring schools and teachers.
🎷 Help shape and deliver exciting new musical opportunities, workshops, and events for young people.

📢Redborne Year 8 Open Evening📢

Come and see for yourself the superb opportunities that Redborne has to offer!

We're opening up the school to welcome Year 8 students, and their parents and carers, to explore our facilities and meet our staff on Thursday 24th September from 4.30pm-7.30pm.

The school will be open for viewing, with optional tours available too, from 4.30pm. Students currently at the following middle/primary schools are also invited, along with their parents/carers, to attend an address from our headteacher, Mr Button, at the following times in the Connolly Hall:

- Alameda students - 4.45pm
- Woodland students - 5.30pm
- Students from all other middle/primary schools - 6.15pm

Please do try to avoid bringing your car to the event if possible - but if you need to drive, please park in South School car park (the entrance with bus bay, nearest the roundabout).

We look forward very much to meeting you and to showing you our fabulous school! 😊

🌍A trip to Cologne, Germany! 🌏

Our students returned from a jam-packed itinerary filled with unforgettable experiences. Some of the biggest highlights included:

🍫 Tasting fresh chocolate at the Lindt Chocolate Museum
🍬 Seeing exactly how the famous sweets are made at the Haribo Factory Outlet
🏎️ Getting up close to Michael Schumacher’s legendary private Formula 1 collection at Motorworld

They were blessed with beautiful weather all week, which made taking in the breath taking scenery of Aachen, Boppard, and Koblenz even more special. ☀️🏰

A huge thank you to all the staff who made this trip possible, and to our students for being fantastic ambassadors for the school. 👋

Massive news! 🚨

One of our incredible students has just been selected for the England Junior Girls (U18) Tug of War team heading to South Africa! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💪

Not only has she made the squad, but she is officially the youngest puller selected from the entire country. To compete at this level against the best in the nation is an unbelievable achievement, and we could not be prouder.
