Congratulations to Our Year 11 Leavers!

We could not be more proud of our students and it was great to see them open their results today. Despite challenges and interruptions to their early secondary schooling, they have shown remarkable resilience and drive. A number of our students have faced serious personal challenges and have shown real tenacity and determination. These results reflect our Year 11s’ academic successes as well as their personal growth and readiness for the future. We are confident that they are well prepared for the exciting opportunities ahead, whether that be Sixth Form, apprenticeships, or the world of work. We celebrate a cohort of young people who leave Calthorpe Park with the qualifications, skills, and character to thrive in a rapidly changing world. We couldn’t be prouder of their journey and look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years to come.

We have marked the end of our school year by running award ceremonies for all students in Years 7-10. We were treated to some performances from the excellent We Will Rock You production and we were delighted to celebrate the contributions and achievements that students have made this year.

A record 905 students were nominated for subject awards and 555 students received nominations for a wide-range of pastoral awards. 663 students received prizes today and they will be bringing home a certificate and a small token of our appreciation. Well done to all our amazing students. We hope you have a great holiday and look forward to seeing you in September.

The Language Leaders visited All Saints Junior School this week to teach all of the classes some French, German and Spanish. All of the students did a brilliant job; they planned and created sessions which really engaged all of the primary students. The primary teachers also commented on how confident and well prepared the students were and they all demonstrated a high level of language skills.

This year has been a fantastic one for our Year 7 and Year 8 mathematicians, who have achieved outstanding results in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) competitions.
