Our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils had a wonderful day in the autumn sunshine exploring RHS Garden Wisley yesterday as part of their Science studies on plant life. 🌼🌿

Surrounded by inspiring displays and beautiful gardens, the girls enjoyed discovering the incredible variety of plants, learning more about how they grow and thrive, and bringing their classroom learning to life.

Congratulations to our Year 10 girls who successfully completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award Assessed Expedition last weekend, with every participant passing.🏅

Over three days in the New Forest, from early starts to long days on the trail, the teams camped overnight, navigated their routes with confidence and supported one another every step of the way, demonstrating the teamwork and collaboration that are at the heart of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

"Throughout this expedition they have shown remarkable determination, resilience, teamwork and independence. Watching their confidence grow and seeing them overcome every challenge along the way has been a real pleasure. They should all be extremely proud of their success."

This morning, our Year 7 pupils took part in The British Museum’s Bayeux Tapestry Online Workshop, joining schools from across the country on the 960th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. 📜

Having recently studied the events of 1066, the girls enjoyed a fascinating deep dive into the Norman Conquest and the story behind the world-famous Bayeux Tapestry. The workshop brought their learning to life, helping them explore this pivotal moment in British history through one of its most remarkable historical sources.

The experience was particularly timely, as the Bayeux Tapestry is currently on loan from France and on display in the UK from September 2026 to July 2027, making this a unique opportunity to connect classroom learning with an extraordinary cultural event.

Our Year 7 pupils had great fun in their Performing Arts lesson this week, exploring Act 1, Scene 1 of Macbeth in a creative and engaging way. 🎭✨

Working in groups, the girls devised their own site-specific performances, using different outdoor spaces around the school to bring the scene to life. They also demonstrated fantastic imagination by creating and incorporating new characters into the script, adding their own unique twists to Shakespeare's famous play.

It was wonderful to see such creativity, collaboration and confidence on display as the girls developed their performance and interpretation skills.

Our Junior School and Senior School Prefects thoroughly enjoyed working together to promote organise our fantastic Food Bank collection, helping to make a positive difference in our local community.

A huge thank you to all the pupils, parents and staff who generously donated. Thanks to your kindness and support, we were able to provide a wonderful collection of items to Step by Step, a youth charity supporting young people facing homelessness and other challenging circumstances.

We are incredibly proud of our Prefects for their leadership, teamwork and commitment to helping others, and grateful to our school community for once again coming together to support such a worthwhile cause. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Nursery and Infant Harvest Festival this morning! 🍂🌾

It was wonderful to come together to celebrate the harvest season and reflect on the importance of kindness, gratitude and helping others.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to all the families who generously donated items for our harvest collection. Your support will make a real difference to those in need within our local community.

All donations will be given to Step by Step, a charity dedicated to empowering young people aged 16-25 and preventing homelessness across Hampshire and Surrey. Food donations play a vital role in supporting young people living in Step by Step accommodation, many of whom arrive with very limited resources and are struggling to meet their basic needs.

Thank you for helping us demonstrate our school values in action and for supporting such an important cause. 💙

A huge thank you to all the local schools who joined us this afternoon for the School Games Gymnastics Festival! 🏅🤸‍♀️

It was wonderful to welcome so many enthusiastic young gymnasts to St Nicholas’ and see such fantastic energy, determination and teamwork on display throughout the event.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting you and hope everyone had a fun and inspiring afternoon developing their skills, building confidence and celebrating participation in sport.

Thank you to all the pupils, staff and supporters who helped make the festival such a success. We look forward to welcoming you back to St Nicholas’ again soon! 😊

The secret is finally out! ✨🎭

There was plenty of excitement in assembly today as we revealed the title of this year's Senior School production... and let's just say, we're all in this together! 🎶

Expect catchy songs, high-energy dance routines, plenty of school spirit and a cast who'll be breaking free as they bring this much-loved musical to life on stage. ⭐🎤

Rehearsals will be starting soon, and we can't wait to see our talented pupils shine. Keep an eye out for behind-the-scenes glimpses as we work towards what promises to be a fantastic Senior School production this spring term!
