We’re looking for lovely small and micro UK-based influencers to help us spread the joy of making.

If you love sharing fun activities, screen-free play and creative projects with the kids, we’d love to work with you!

Here’s the deal:

We send you a gifted woodwork kit, you get stuck in with the kids and share the fun in an Instagram Reel or carousel post, inviting us as a collaborator.

Simple as that!

We’re opening up 4 gifted collaboration spots each month, so whether you’re a seasoned content creator or just starting to grow your audience, we’d love to hear from you.

No huge following required. Just a love of making, a genuine UK audience and some lovely creative content.

Fancy joining us?

Head to the link in bio to find out more, browse the kits and apply!

Hello, new makers! 👋

We thought it was about time we properly introduced ourselves and reminded the rest of you who we are!

We’re Jonty & Amanda, the husband-and-wife team behind Ash & Co Workshops.

We make our own range of woodworking kits right here in the workshop plus Jonty teaches beginner DIY and woodworking courses and we run hands-on workshops for kids in school holidays. It keeps us busy!

Basically, we’re big fans of learning useful skills, using tools and making things at any age – whether you’re 5 or 105.

There’s lots happening this autumn, so if you’re new here, welcome! And if you’ve been following us for a while, thanks for sticking around.

New project alert! 🚚

At our Young Makers Workshops, children get hands-on with real materials and proper tools.

Our new ‘Mini Cars’ project includes sawing, drilling, gluing and building. They’ll follow instructions for their first one, then invent a second design of their own with all their new skills 😊

This will be one of the many projects kids can choose from at our Young Makers Summer Workshops, alongside all their favourites such as cool characters and mini villages.

Dates available from 27th July - 7th August.

Check out the website for more info.

Ever wanted to learn traditional woodworking skills?

There’s something incredibly satisfying about creating a joint that fits perfectly.

On our Mortise & Tenon workshop, you’ll learn traditional hand tool skills, improve your accuracy and leave with techniques you’ll use for years to come.

Take a look at Jonty explaining what the day involves.

We’ve still got a few places available this Friday (10th July). And with another heatwave on the way, you’ll be pleased to know the workshop is fully air conditioned, so you can learn new skills while keeping cool!

Wishing this legend a very happy Father’s Day!

Jonty works incredibly hard teaching courses, making kits, and juggling all the behind-the-scenes jobs that come with running a small family business. But no matter how busy things get, he always makes time for the two people who matter most – our own little mini makers.

Thank you for everything you do for our family and for helping so many others discover the joy of making things too.

Now go and enjoy a well-earned day on the golf course! â›łïž

It got me thinking recently...

What DIY jobs are still on your “one day I’ll get round to that” list?

For many people, they don’t know where to start and so they don’t!

I hear the same things all the time:

“I’m worried I’ll make a mess of it.”

“I don’t know which tools to buy.”

“What if I electrocute myself?!”

The funny thing is, most people are far more capable than they think. Usually they just need someone to explain the basics and give them the confidence to have a go.

If you’ve got jobs around the house that you’ve been putting off, our Beginners DIY in a Day workshops are running throughout the summer and are designed specifically for complete beginners.

What DIY job is currently sitting on your to-do list?

The number one thing we’ve learnt over years of teaching woodwork to kids is

They won’t get it right first time.

And that’s okay!

In fact, when they miss a nail, put something in the wrong place or have to try again, that’s where the real learning happens 😊

That’s the idea behind our Young Woodworkers’ Hammer & Nails Project Kit.

The hands-on projects in the kit teach children how to use a hammer and nails properly
not by getting it perfect straight away, but by trying, missing, adjusting, and improving.

They follow our friendly video tutorials, practice step-by-step, and build real skills through ‘doing’.

And no
they probably won’t get it right first time! But that’s the point. By the end, they’ll be confidently driving in nails and feeling proud of what they’ve made.

Inside the box you’ll find:
đŸȘ” Blocks made from real wood
🔹 Real hammer & nails
✏Pencil, sandpaper, decorations and face stickers
💡 Step-by-step instructions and video guidance
🇬🇧 Made by hand in our Hampshire workshop and loved by thousands of families across the UK

Plus, for a limited time, get a FREE 3D Printed Accessories Pack (worth ÂŁ9.99) for extra fun creations!
