School Ready Skills: Using Pencils and Scissors ✏️✂️

Is your little one starting Year R in September? 🎒 Over the summer, why not have a go at some fun and simple activities to help develop their fine motor skills, hand strength and coordination? 💚💛

✏️ Using a pencil - drawing, colouring, making marks and practising different lines and shapes with their dominant hand.

✂️ Using scissors - snipping paper, cutting along lines and having a go at simple shapes.

These simple skills are a great way to help your little one build confidence and get ready for school! 💚💛

🌟 School Ready Skills: Counting to 5 🌟

If your little one is starting Year R in September, throughout the summer holidays why not look for little opportunities to count to 5 together?

🍎 Count pieces of fruit at snack time.
🦆 Count ducks at the park.
🚗 Count red cars on a journey.
🧸 Count teddies before bedtime.
👣 Count steps as you climb them.

There's no pressure and no need to get it perfect. Just enjoy counting together as part of your everyday adventures.

Every little counting moment helps build confidence - and the best part is, it all happens through everyday fun. Hooray! 💚💛

🏃‍♀️🏅 Sports Day Fun! 🏅🏃‍♂️

What a brilliant day of sports, smiles and fun at Fleet Infant School today! 🌟

Our children took part in lots of exciting events, including egg and spoon races, hurdles, running races and plenty more! 🥚🥄🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A huge thank you to all the parents who came along to cheer us on - and well done to all our fantastic children for giving it their all and showing such brilliant team spirit! 👏🎉

🌞🏖️ Seaside Day Fun for Year R & Heron Class! 🏖️🌞

Year R and Heron Class had a fantastic Seaside Day today! We explored all the excitement of the seaside and enjoyed the delicious fruit lollies we made earlier this week. Making our lollies gave us the opportunity to get hands-on with mashing and squashing the fruit, helping to strengthen the muscles in our hands and develop our fine motor skills. 💪

We had a wonderful time exploring our seaside role play areas, where we enjoyed sunbathing, sea fishing, building sandcastles and hunting for seashells. It was a fantastic way to bring our seaside learning to life through imaginative play, creativity and exploration!💚💛

A huge thank you to Mrs Sharp for driving our charabanc (our open-top bus) to and from the ‘beach’! 🚌 We all had a wonderful day full of smiles, laughter and learning. ☀️🐚

🌸 Year 1 Blooming with Creativity! 🎨

Our Year 1 children have been developing their observational drawing skills through a beautiful floral still-life project. They carefully studied flowers, explored the colour wheel and learnt how to mix primary colours to create a range of beautiful hues and shades for their paintings.🌸🎨
We are so proud of their creativity, focus and their wonderful artwork! 💚💛

What a wonderful FISA Family Fun Day we had today at Oakley Park! ☀️🎉

From stalls and games to delicious food and drink, it was lovely to see our school community coming together and enjoying such a fantastic day. A big well done to our Year 2 Choir, who entertained us with a wonderful selection of songs. The music featured in this video is one of their brilliant performances. 🎶

A huge thank you to FISA for organising such a fantastic event, and to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special. 💚💛
