Hello, it's now September and preparations are under way for starting back next week. I hope you all had a good summer.

You should have received an email yesterday from me/toddler group about this term. If you haven't, please check your junk/spam folders, and get in touch.

Names - if any childminders have different children to those they registered with before the summer break, please let me know the new children's names so that laminated sheep can be made for them! Or if anyone's had a baby over the summer and will be bringing along a new arrival this term!

A few of the Tuesday mums are meeting up in the playground at Basingbourne Park tomorrow morning, at the same time there would normally be toddler group, so if you are free you are very welcome to join them.

If anyone missed the details about this Saturday's Community Fun day, here they are!

It's at The Views (the field and play area behind the library in Fleet). It's this Saturday. It's running from 11am to 4pm. And it's free!

It's going to be another hot week! We will have water play all three days, so bring a towel, swim nappy and a change of clothes. We do have spare swim nappies if needed.

The rest of the room will be set up as normal, and we'll finish with story and singing time. Do remember drinks/snacks for the children. Free hot and cold drinks will also be available from the kitchen hatch.

Next week will be our last week of term. Final sessions are Tuesday 14th, Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th July.
Next term starts on 8th, 9th, and 10th September.

Wednesday and Thursday groups:

We will be open! It is going to be very hot but because we are operating in the mornings, it's not going to be quite so hot as an afternoon session might be.

Today it was 26 degrees in the hall, but with windows open in the shade and 3 fans running, it was manageable.

We will have water play, so bring a towel, swim nappy and a change of clothes. We do have spare swim nappies if needed.

Hot Weather!

We will run the Tuesday group tomorrow (23rd June), with some water play included (please bring towel, swim nappy, change of clothes).

With today's announcement of a RED extreme weather alert for Wednesday and Thursday, and temperatures of 39 degrees forecast, we need to check there is a safe operating environment (the church hall does not have air conditioning!) and that people can get here and back home safely!

While schools are still open, we intend to remain open as much as we can.

We will review the situation at lunchtime on Tuesday, and make a final decision then about whether we will run on Wednesday and Thursday.

From this week, the sheets will be out at toddler group for you to sign up for the next school year.

If you need to change to a different day for September, that's fine. Or if you want to stick where you are, that's good too!

Some of you will not be back in September - starting school, changing preschool/nursery days, or moving house, or whatever! There's a leavers' sheet, too, if that's relevant for you.

BTW the last week of the summer term is Tues 14, Wed 15 and Thurs 16th July.
