A bit more about myself and the approach-
Coach Matt Crane
Mobility and Strength coach
Creating sustainability in training. In the process of coaching classes and one to one and searching for more effective ways to meet the requirements of the people in front of me, I was recommended the FRS: functional range systems. This is a movement system that forms the structure of my approach to movement
. A system that allows me to meet you where you are at, as we work towards your movement goals. Be it getting out of pain when moving, or wanting to hit or throw balls further, cycle up hills quicker or squat better. Maybe you feel restricted when moving, maybe its a combo of things. If improving feels and or performance when moving interests you, please get in contact. Contact info-

Do you experience some feels during your day to day or your chosen movement practice. EG: the same niggles, feels of restriction or possible pain as you move into different positions. Maybe mobility work is something that interests you, but you are unsure how to structure it, where to start. Mobility work is Strength work, it should be progressive. The real magic is in the daily inputs, set during each session, clients doing their homework drives the change, changes in connective tissue takes time and internally driven inputs (training), internally referring to changes driven from the inside out, through you moving. Movement being the language we speak to our internal environment, the clearer we can speak through mindful movement, with intent, the better the response we get from the body. Your goals will dictate the nature of the work we do, it could vary from “I want to get out of bed feeling good”, so some simple movements at light intensity layered in throughout your day to day could be plenty. Maybe Crossfit is your jam or a specific sport, that approach is going to differ again as we require some inputs to match the demands of your movement practice. If you are interested in layering in an approach to movement that is based on improving the expression of you, so you can get more out of your training, day to day movement or a weekend in the garden. Please feel free to ping me a message. Happy to answer any questions you may have. What would the 1st session involve and why do an assessment? The 1st session would include an assessment, some simple movements that give us a good idea of the capacity we currently have for movement. Then based off of the assessment, your goals and movement history we shall structure an approach that meets you where you are currently at. If we are not assessing, we are guessing. Frequency of session frequency varies from client to client. I have clients who are long term weekly clients. Clients who do monthly touch base sessions, with homework refreshers. Usually at around a month we can start to feel a difference from the work we are doing, then we want to gradually increase demand or complexity of what we are doing, to provide that novel stimulus (something a little bit different) to progress. Cultivating a sustainable approach to training in the process. The"why" behind our training is important. Any questions please feel free to reach out. Contact info-
