🌿 I asked my 16-year-old son a question most parents never think to ask:
“What would you like your parents to be like?”

He answered straight away — no hesitation.
And it made me wonder…

Do we ever actually ask our children how they want to be parented?
Or do we just assume we know best because we’re the adults?

Kids have opinions.
They have preferences.
And they know exactly how we make them feel.

Asking the question doesn’t mean we’ll get it perfect.
It simply tells them:

💚 “You matter.”
💚 “I’m listening.”
💚 “I’m willing to grow.”

Imagine how different parenting would feel if more of us asked our children:

“How can I be a better parent for you?”

Would love to know — have you ever asked your child this?

Hi Everyone. Here's a life hack. Surrender. What does this mean? Simply, it means let go of attachment and just be. Chill, don't get sucked into drama or worry. Allow things to happen. Step aside from conflict. As Eckhart puts it in this brilliant quote.

If life isn't showing up as you want it, then stop and think what you're attaching to and can you let it go and surrender to what is?

Have a great Friday !

Just ponder on this one and let it sink in. We often see things in black and white but in reality, life isn't like that. If you shift your mindset a tiny bit and re-frame every uncomfortable scenario, the outcome can be a whole different thing.
I was reminded of this Nelson Mandela quote this morning and wanted to share it. Stop thinking of losing if things don't go to plan. Instead, learn from what happened. This is growth. Have a great day. Post a comment or PM to work 1-2-1 with me.

Hey there!! Today I want to talk about the most important kind of love: Self-Love. The kind of love that helps you appreciate yourself for who you are, flaws and all. It takes time and practice to build self-love, but once you do, it can bring so much peace and happiness to your life. So today, I want to encourage you to treat yourself with kindness and compassion, just as you would a close friend. Celebrate your uniqueness and embrace your imperfections. You deserve all the love in the world, and the best place to start is from within. ❤️

If you don't love yourself, then all sorts of crazy stuff can show up in your life. If you want to learn more about this and other stuff I teach, then get in touch. Have a great day x

Have you ever found yourself stuck in a drama triangle? You know the one - where people take on the roles of the victim, persecutor, or rescuer? It's not a fun place to be and can really drain your energy and emotions. But fear not, my friends! You can step out of the drama by taking a few simple steps.

First, recognise when you're in a drama triangle. This is the hard bit if you live happily in a drama. Most people have no idea! Are you feeling attacked or like someone is trying to rescue you from something you don't want help with? Or are you poking people looking for a reaction? This is a sign that drama is at play.

Next, take a deep breath and try to step back from the situation. Take a moment to think about your own boundaries and what you need to do to feel safe and respected.

Finally, communicate calmly and confidently with those involved. Share your feelings and needs without blaming or attacking others.

Remember, you don't have to play into these roles. You can choose to step out of the triangle and take back control of your emotions and relationships. So take a deep breath, speak your truth, and let go of the drama once and for all! 🕊️💜

If you're struggling with drama and need help identifying these behaviours and overcoming them, then get in touch.

Have a great day

What's in your toolkit? Can you add some more tools? How well are you prepared for the job we call 'life'?

You must hear people use the term 'you can only do what you have the tools for'. This is true for all trades, but it is also true for us in how we navigate our daily lives and react to situations.

Think about how you handle bad news.
Think about how you cope with stress.
Think about how you make decisions.
Think about the choices you have made.

You can always do things differently if you learn different techniques and practises. Developing tools to change your thoughts and beliefs and behaviours will see you do the 'job' in a totally new way.

So why don't you consider adding some more tools to your toolkit and give yourself a different perspective on life. Get in touch if you want to know more and how I can help.

Remember, my friends, you are strong, capable, and worthy of a happy and fulfilling life. So take the time to build up your toolkit, unlock your true potential, and go after everything you want. Believe in yourself, and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve! 💪🏽✨

I believe that honesty and integrity are two of the most crucial values for personal growth. Being honest and true to ourselves means having the courage to confront our flaws and acknowledge our mistakes, even when it's tough.

When we hold ourselves to the highest standards of honesty and integrity, we can look at ourselves objectively and take ownership of our decisions and actions. This self-awareness is essential to making real progress in our lives, acknowledging and growing from mistakes without letting shame or guilt hold us back.

Through honesty, we can learn the truth about who we are, including our flaws and weaknesses. Taking a hard look at ourselves can help us decide what we need to work on and where we need to grow, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and rewarding life.

And, by demonstrating integrity, we can earn the trust and respect of others. Being true to our word and sticking to our values acts as an inspiring example for those around us, motivating them to strive for their best selves too.

So let’s aspire towards honesty and integrity each day, striving towards self-improvement and empowering others to do the same. Remember, being honest and true to yourself can help you unleash your full potential and live a happier, more authentic life with incredible positivity and purpose.

I was reminded this week how we love stories. Social media is full of people telling stories. They engage us with stories and we enjoy reading them. As a kid I loved fiction, I'm talking Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl. I still love reading though I often swap a book for an audiobook. So here's a little story....make sure you read it to the end for the nugget!

There once lived a woman who had everything - a flourishing career, a beautiful home filled with precious things, and many friends. But despite all of this, she felt unfulfilled and joyless, always wanting more and never appreciating what she already had.

One day, she stumbled upon an old book about gratitude and began to read it with skepticism. After all, how could expressing gratitude for the things she already had improve her life?

But as she read on, she began to see things differently. She realised that she had so much to be grateful for but had never really acknowledged it. So she started small, taking time every day to express gratitude for the little things in life - the sun shining on her face, the birds singing outside her window, and even for the food she ate.

Soon, she found herself feeling happier, more content and less anxious. She began to see the world through new eyes, and life started to feel more abundant, and she felt more hopeful and energised.

The more she practised gratitude, the more she realised that she had been taking things for granted for far too long. Still, it wasn't too late to change her outlook and change her experience of life positively.

She no longer craved material possessions and instead cherished the moments she had with her loved ones. She invested in healthy relationships, prioritised self-care and nourished her soul with things that brought her joy.

Her newfound appreciation for life brought more abundance, increased positivity and raised the quality of her personal and professional interactions. As a person, she became more fulfilled, optimistic and prosperous as she expressed gratitude daily.

So, if you find yourself struggling to find joy in your life, take a moment to consider all the things you have to be grateful for. Cultivating an appreciative mindset will eventually lead to a profound shift in your perception, and your life experience will transform for the better.

Trust me, there really is an awful lot to be grateful for. Have a great day. Leave a comment if you feel inspired to

Who's a fan of Ted Lasso? Me! I love it. It's full of insightful wisdom.

Be curious, not judgemental is one of Ted's. This is brilliant. Being non-judgemental is the foundation of personal growth, not just when it comes to how we approach others but also how we treat ourselves. Understand that self-harmful behaviour like judging yourself harshly or feeling inadequate can be just as toxic as being judged by others.

Everyone deserves to feel supported and validated, free from judgement, including you. When we remove the self-imposed judgement and embrace who we are, with all our strengths and weaknesses, we can harness our full potential.

Self-improvement and self-love go hand in hand, and it all starts with being kind to yourself. This is what I coach my clients in achieving. To have a positive outlook on yourself by removing any guilt or shame and encouraging you to celebrate, support, and recognise your unique qualities.

Through a non-judgemental approach, you can empower everyone to be their best selves, without fear of criticism or ridicule, and enjoy a fulfilling life with purpose and joy.

So let go of that inner critic and embrace your true self, with all your flaws, quirks, and eccentricities, with open hearts and minds. After all, only when we accept ourselves wholeheartedly, we can achieve our fullest potential!

I love the teachings of Abraham Hicks. Mainly because they are fun and easy and totally make sense. We experience contrast often, which is something strikingly different, and we cannot escape contrast in our lives. It pops up most unexpectedly. But how often does it make us feel uncomfortable or reactive? I'm guessing most of the time. However, you can change your relationship with contrast and it's like most things, practise makes perfect.

When you experience contrast, just let it be, accept it and see what you can learn from it. Let it serve you up some wisdom to create a positive experience instead of a negative one, which you can share with your friends. The benefits of working on yourself will reach far and wide. Have a great day 😍

It’s easy to focus on what we don’t want. Agree?
That’s because we can have a fear of saying what we truly want. It may even sound ridiculous to say it.
Or we believe we don’t know what we want.
I’m not surprised when clients say this to me. But when I challenge them and push them out their comfort zone, they eventually get used to flipping from saying the negative (I don’t) to the positive (I want).

Here’s the interesting bit…. If you focus on what you don’t want, you can actually create exactly that!

So here’s what you do:
1. Notice when you say what you don’t want and how it makes you feel
2. Focus on what you actually want because you do know, you’re just experiencing resistance
This simple technique will really help shift your attention.
Have an awesome day ❤️
