I was roughly the same age as my girls when the last eclipse happened. Was with my parents somewhere coastal in a caravan if my memory serves me correctly.

Tonight we were able to unlock some key memories for my 2.

We walked up to the Twesledown Hill and watched the eclipse. Then everyone disappeared and we were left with a beautiful sunset and decided to stay to watch meteorites. We were not disappointed. Having walked home and arrived around 11pm, we then laid on the driveway for an hour and carried on watching them! 😀

Anyone else watch the eclipse or meteorites?

In each Forest Sprites session, children follow their curiosity through hands-on nature skills — gentle tool use, woodcraft, foraging, den building, and mindful moments beneath the trees.

Our signature blend of elegance, earthiness, and a touch of woodland magic invites children to slow down, explore deeply, and grow in confidence whilst learning new skills. With supportive guidance and plenty of independence, every child discovers new abilities while becoming part of a warm, nature-loving community. Please bring a packed lunch for all but our last session of each block when we will work together to produce a lunch for us all to enjoy.

"Why ruin it?" he said.
"But you could be doing something Important," I said.
"I am, " said Pooh.
"Oh? Doing what?"
"Listening," he said.
"Listening to what?"
"To the birds. And that squirrel over there."
"What are they saying?" I asked.
"That it's a nice day," said Pooh.
"But you know that already," I said.
"Yes, but it's always good to hear that somebody else thinks so, too," he replied..

Do I know of anyone I can ask a favour of on behalf of a local community group?!

I need someone know who's about buildings/ building work/ costs of building work ASAP with a possibility to gaining the contract if it goes ahead 😀 Can't say too much here...

But please please share, tag and ask. This is a necessary community project under time constraints! 😀

Following Maggot (yes Hubby chose Maggot as his FS name!!!) and I making our drums on Sunday, I made Maggot a drum bag to keep it safe.

Really enjoyed the celtic braiding but the whole thing drove me insane so perhaps my own drum will not receive a cover! 🤣

Looking forward to using them!
