This is us ☺️ Reflecting on three wonderful years of Wild Arts. 🌿

We're taking a moment to look back on how grateful we are for everyone who's been part of this journey. To all the wonderful children we've had the privilege of getting to know, the families who've trusted us, and the many magical moments we've shared together in the forest—thank you.

The web of life really does connect us all, and we feel so lucky to be doing what we love alongside such an amazing community.

As we look ahead, we're excited to keep growing, nurturing new ideas, and bringing even more nature-filled experiences to Wild Arts.

Wishing you all a summer full of love, abundance, and plenty of time outdoors.

With love,
Sam & Mari 💚

Yesterday's Children's Tree Yoga Workshop with was such a beautiful way to spend our final afternoon at Wild Heart Hill as part of our Holiday Club. 🌳✨

Together, we slowed down, connected with Mother Nature, and explored what it might feel like to be a tree through a gentle yoga nidra meditation. The children imagined their roots growing deep into the earth, their trunks standing tall, and their branches reaching towards the sky before flowing through gentle tree-inspired yoga poses.

It was a peaceful, grounding session filled with imagination, movement, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
Thank you for sharing this special place with all of us 💚

And a big thank you to everyone who joined us—we can't wait for more nature-filled adventures together!

What a way to end our final week of Wild Arts! 🌿✨

As always, we began crafting together… but as soon as the sun took over our shady yard, we headed to the field for some water play! 💦

Cue the slip and slide — oh, the laughter! 🤣
A tricky skill to master if you’re new to the technique, but we fully embraced our inner child minsets and absolutely went for it (much to the kids delight and pure amusement!!)

If you haven’t tried it yet… why not? Just for fun! It’s a real winner for all ages. 🛝💧

We can’t believe our summer term is over already! Wishing everyone a fantastic summer holiday filled with sunshine, adventures and lots of fun. ☀️

You don't need acres of land to help wildlife thrive. 🌿

A shallow bowl of water, a bucket, or a little pond can make all the difference during warm weather. Birds, bees, butterflies and dragonflies all need somewhere safe to drink.

Our pond is still a work in progress, but this week we've loved spotting birds stopping by, bees having a drink, and even welcoming a few friendly dragonflies.

Simple actions. Real impact. 💚

What small thing could you do for nature this week?

This week has been all about caring for our site and the wildlife that calls it home. We've been giving nature a much-needed drink by watering plants, topping up the pond, filling bird baths, caring for our bee-friendly spaces, and refreshing the bug hotel. We've also maintained woodland pathways and habitats to help our little ecosystem thrive through the summer.

We enjoyed a feast of juicy blackberries too—taking only what we needed and leaving plenty behind for the birds and other wildlife. Nature is so generous, and we're reminded to give as much as we take. 🌿🫐

Treasuring the season together. We spent our days in the cool forest shade, enjoying hose springs, creating seasonal nature crafts, making beautiful mandalas, feasting on ripe blackberries, and watching butterflies and caterpillars. Summer's simple moments are often the most magical. 🦋🍃

We are warriors. We are artists. We are acrobats. We are nature explorers.
We are the authors of our own stories.
Together, we weave the web of life in beauty and harmony, leaving the world a little brighter than we found it.

Be yourself. Bring your magic to the world. ✨🌿

🐞🏰 We've been busy transforming our bug hotel into Bugington Palace!

Our little painters, architects and builders designed, constructed and decorated mini habitats after sharing fascinating insect facts together. 🐛🐝

Children have always been fascinated by mini worlds, and this was a wonderful opportunity to combine creativity with caring for nature, creating a safe and welcoming home for the tiny creatures that support our ecosystem. 🌿🦋

Campfire bread snakes! 🔥

A week of constant rain can make outdoor provision challenging, so this activity was intentionally planned in stages to sustain engagement, support different needs and interests, and create opportunities for observation and assessment across the EYFS.

Children followed the recipe, reading, acknowledging numbers and amounts, and blending sounds. Some even writing it down in their journals. We measured and mixed the dough which encouraged mathematical thinking, sensory exploration and collaboration.

Whittling sticks required concentration and supported risk assessment, while helping to build and light the fire promoted responsibility, problem-solving and teamwork. "You can do it" they cheered to their friends whilst taking turns.

Gathering around the campfire to patiently wait for our bread to turn golden reminded us that some of the richest learning happens through real experiences, purposeful roles and seeing a process through from beginning to end.

All that patience was well rewarded, especially once the garlic butter and jam appeared. The children were very impressed with their campfire creations! ✨️
