Hello, my name is Fiona and I am a qualified teacher with over thirty years experience. Previously I have been a Deputy and an Assistant Head and a lead English teacher for the county. I have taught in many primary and secondary schools in North Yorkshire and East Riding. I live in Primrose Valley, near Filey with my family. I set up Primrose Academy to reach out to students who needed that lit

tle bit of extra help or, who were looking for an alternative approach to learning. I am an inclusive service set in a wonderful bespoke classroom with a beautiful outdoor area to work in. I have recently been a finalist for Professional Tutor of the year which is a fabulous honor and one I am extremely proud of. My mum used to say I was born to teach, well it certainly feels like a vocation and in my opinion the best job in the world. I speacialise in teaching the curriculum to age ranges from 3 to 18. I also teach adults who wish to re-take exams to further their careers. I have several qualifications in special needs education so I can deliver sessions to students with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and Mental Health issues. I pride myself on being fully inclusive, providing lessons to fit the needs of the individual. I believe in making strong connections with the student so they can reach their full potential. I offer round the clock support to students and their families, which includes supporting EHCP's and PIP assessments. Visits are welcomed. Feel free to message for further information.

CONGRATULATIONS to my GCSE & Functional Skills students on their amazing results in English and Maths this year. They have achieved some of the highest scores yet at Primrose Academy. I am a very proud Teacher. Each and every one of them deserve these wonderful results.

Sports Day fun
Christopher and Harrison had a hilarious time practising for our Home Ed Sports Day.
They were very good at the hurdles and the hopper race but still working on their three-legged technique. It was wonderful to hear them laugh and giggle. Jessie did her own training and Izzy was a willing spectator.

Huge congratulations to Mason on his Graduation from Primrose Academy today. I have taught this young man for over four years and have seen him grow and mature into a wonderful human being.
He has studied hard and found the confidence to complete his exams this year, and has secured a place at Scarborough Tec to study Level 3 BTEC Music & Production.
I am so proud of how far he has come and what he has achieved. But I will miss him and our interesting chats putting the world to rights over a cuppa. My dogs will miss him too. Good luck Mason.

Great day at Primrose Academy today. Ava- Grace and Alfie enjoyed our outdoor mental maths challenge on the dart board followed by Alfie's timed football tricks which Ava- Grace and I decided to score. Unfortunately he didn't get a Severrrrn.
We even managed to squeeze in a bit of dog training with Jessie.
Well done guys.
