APPRECIATION POST
So proud of all of my Year 11’s for their fantastic GCSE results (but more importantly for the determination and time they put in over our time together!)
I only cried three times (happy tears) which is quite good for me 😂

Exam confidence and anxiety!

It’s a huge issue for students that have the ability but crumble during the exam period!

I took my own GCSE’s 15 years ago and a lot has changed since then. It seems a bit odd to me that I’m telling my students not to worry and giving them tips when it’s been so long since I did them myself!

That’s why in November, I will be sitting my Edexcel GCSE maths exams (I took AQA originally) at a private exam centre so that I can talk from experience rather than memory!

📣Debate club is BACK for the summer!📣

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS (time to be determined)

It’s that time of year again which means it’s time for my favourite club (it’s just an excuse for me to hang out with my Year 11’s again that have finished their GCSE’s but all are welcome between the ages of 12 and 16!)

This club is very informal and is a lovely opportunity to provide a bit of structure during the school holidays (ideal for extroverts and introverts alike!)

The questions are wacky, weird and wonderful and everyone can interact as much as they feel comfortable.

PAYG so just choose which weeks you want to join- there is no weekly commitment if you have plans.

Sometimes simple is better!

This student wanted to strengthen their knowledge of types of number. Their challenge was to find at least three of each type of number; they love to learn visually so this was the perfect activity for them!
