We have received a Special Delivery this morning in school of some little ducklings. We are waiting patiently for them to hatch.

The arrival of the ducklings has caused quite a stir and the children are very excited.

We are all looking forward to meeting them and watching them grow over the next two weeks.

On Tuesday 24th October we held our Celebration of Harvest Assembly in school. Thank you to all of our parents and carers for attending.

Thank you for all your generous donations for Durham Foodbank. Durham Foodbank are collecting all of your donations on Friday.

Thank you very much Paul. We appreciate the time you took to come along to visit Ferryhill Station Primary School and do the assembly, present the Commissioners Challenge badges and talk to the Year 5 and Year 6 children.

Well done to our Year 5 and Year 6 children for achieving their gold badges. 🌟

Today Ferryhill Station Primary School year 5 and 6 pupils were presented with their Gold Shields for completing the final part of their Durham Police and Crime Commissioner’s Challenge. Working with Joy Allen Durham’s Police Commisioner, the Ambassadors for Community Change have developed a project that helps bring crime prevention tips and tasks into pupils homes and communities, which helps keep families, friends and neighbours safe.

Thank you so much to Paul Howell MP for Sedgefield, PCSO’s kestle and Curry Spennymoor and Ferryhill Police for presenting the pupils with their well earned Shields.

Both JoyAllen and Paul Howell have been amazing supporters of Ferryhill Ambassadors for Community Change and their help and encouragement has made so much difference. Thank you 🙏

BEE THE HERO - World Bee Day Poster Competition

Chartwells ran a competition this week in school. The competition was open to all of the children in school. They were asked to draw an 'epic' poster that shows how they think we could all help the bumblebees.

We would like to say a huge well done to Dakotah who designed this 'epic' poster and is the winner of the competition.
