Welcome Back!

We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer break and is looking forward to the year ahead. A particularly warm welcome to our new Year 5 students and families joining us for the first time. 😊

🏊‍♀️ Student Success 🏊‍♀️

Congratulations to Ahlia in Year 5!

We are delighted to celebrate Ahlia's outstanding success in swimming after recently competing at a county swimming competition in Woking. 🌟

Ahlia achieved an impressive four bronze medals 🥉🥉🥉🥉 and one silver medal 🥈 in her age-group qualifying events, demonstrating incredible skill, dedication, and determination throughout the competition.

She also delivered a fantastic performance in the 200m Freestyle, finishing 1st place with a remarkable five-second personal best and winning the coveted Club Duck Trophy! 🏆🐥

This is an incredible achievement and a true reflection of Ahlia's hard work and commitment to her sport. We are extremely proud of everything she has accomplished and wish her every success in her future competitions.

Well done, Ahlia! 👏🎉

🏃‍♂️🌟 Ferndown Middle School Fun Run 2026! 🌟🏃‍♀️

What an incredible day we had at our annual Fun Run! It was fantastic to see so many pupils taking part in the 1.5km, 3km and 5km races, showing determination, resilience and outstanding school spirit from start to finish.

The atmosphere was amazing, with pupils proudly wearing their house colours and cheering each other on every step of the way. A huge thank you to all of our staff, volunteers and families who helped make the event such a success.

👏 Congratulations to all of our winners! 🏅

A huge well done to our Year 5, Year 6, Year 7 and Year 8 pupils who achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd place across the different race distances. You should all be incredibly proud of your achievements!

Most importantly, well done to every single pupil who took part. Whether you crossed the finish line first or simply challenged yourself to complete the course, you all demonstrated fantastic perseverance and teamwork, and we're incredibly proud of you all. 💙

🍯🎨 Ferndown Middle School Honey Label Design Competition! 🎨🍯

Calling all our creative pupils! We are looking for a fantastic new label design for our Ferndown Middle School Honey jars.

✨ Your design should include:
🍯 The word HONEY clearly and prominently
🎨 A fun, creative theme
🖍️ A simple line-art design that looks great when printed

🏆 Prize: The winning designer will receive a FREE jar of our delicious honey, and their label will be featured on our honey jars!

🏃‍♂️🏅 Sports Day Update! 🏅🏃‍♀️

What a fantastic morning we've had at KS2 Sports Day! The pupils have shown incredible enthusiasm, determination and great sportsmanship throughout the events. Well done to everyone who has taken part so far! 👏

We are now looking forward to welcoming our KS3 pupils for Sports Day, which begins at 1:30pm this afternoon.

🥤 The PTA are also on-site selling cold drinks and refreshments, so if you're coming along, please do stop by and support them. Every purchase helps support our school and is greatly appreciated. 💙

🌟 PGL Little Canada Update! 🌟

After an amazing few days of adventure, our Year 8 pupils have had a fantastic time and are now on the ferry home! 🚢😊

The estimated arrival time back at Ferndown Middle School is 4:45pm.

A huge thank you to all of our staff who made the trip possible, and well done to our Year 8s for embracing every opportunity and creating so many wonderful memories. 🏕️🚣‍♀️🌊
