Plastic doesn’t just disappear…
What happens to the plastic we throw away? Far too much of it finds its way into our rivers and seas, where it can remain for decades, breaking down into smaller and smaller pieces and causing lasting harm to marine life.
This post from the Marine Conservation Society is a sobering reminder that the plastic problem doesn’t end when something goes in the bin.
But there are things we can do. From reducing the plastic we use to joining a local beach clean, every little action helps protect our seas and the wildlife that depends on them.
