After a 10-year hiatus, Faith No More has signed a long-term global agreement with Brazilian live entertainment powerhouse 30e that will place the company at the center of the group’s future worldwide activities, from tour planning across five continents to marketing strategy, fan experiences and brand development.

“30e feels like a company that wants to dent into the status quo, and as artists we understand the value of that,” the Mike Patton-led band says. “Their approach doesn’t feel like the usual machinery; it feels like it’s coming from a different place, with a different kind of energy, and we are willing to get behind that.”

Faith No More has remained inactive since the cancellation of planned 2021 reunion dates, which were scrapped after Patton cited mental health struggles during the pandemic. In the years since, the group’s future has remained uncertain, with members offering few indications about whether they would return to the stage. That changed in recent days when the band began teasing activity tied to 2027.

If so, the timing would be fitting. Next week marks the 37th anniversary of The Real Thing, the landmark 1989 album that transformed Faith No More from cult favorites into one of rock’s most intriguing acts. Released after the band dismissed original frontman Chuck Mosley and recruited then-unknown vocalist Patton, The Real Thing became a multi-genre, breakthrough success, eventually earning platinum certification and spawning the crossover smash “Epic,” which climbed into the Billboard top 10.

“Faith No More has always been synonymous with disruption,” 30e CEO Pepeu Correa says. “They shaped entire generations precisely because they refused to play by the market’s obvious rules, and it is that same audacious spirit that drives 30e. This agreement aims to jointly build a platform for global experiences that respects the band’s transgressive DNA and presents our vision of entertainment to the world.”

For now, neither side is announcing specific tour dates. Patton is winding down a run of shows with the Avett Brothers in support of their surprising collaborative LP AVTT/PTTN, including Thursday in Cleveland, the following night in Ann Arbor, MI, and Saturday in Waukegan, IL.

Folk acts wanted! On Friday 10th July and Friday 14th August, from 7.45 to 10.45, the Potteries Folk Club is organising two Summer Showcases at our usual venue, the Fenton Town Hall Cafe.

We are looking for acts - solo artists or bands - who would like the opportunity to showcase their talents. Each act will be given the opportunity to perform a set of up to half an hour.

Please note that we do not provide PA. The cafe has good acoustics, so many people feel that they do not need PA anyway.
But, if you do need to use PA, you may bring your own as long as it is PAT tested.

We can only give you a contribution towards your travel expenses in the showcases. However, if you impress us sufficiently, we may well offer you a fully paid booking on a later occasion.

A bust of Mike Lloyd has been unveiled at the Victoria Hall, honouring his contribution to the cultural life of the city.

At the unveiling, Lord Mayor Cllr Steve Watkins paid tribute to the legendary music promoter, saying: "Mike brought music to Stoke-on-Trent for more than 60 years, leaving a lasting impact on musicians, music fans and everyone who knew him.

“But for many of us, Mike will always be remembered for his record stores – landmarks of our local musical culture. Almost everyone over the age of 45 has queued outside Mike Lloyd Music for tickets and new releases.”
