Today, across our Trust’s secondary schools, we celebrate our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE results. 🎓

These outcomes reflect years of commitment, perseverance, and passion from our students, supported by the tireless efforts of our teachers, support staff, and school communities. A special thank you to our parents and carers for the vital support you have given both your children and our schools.

We know today brings a mix of emotions. Whatever is inside your envelope, please remember: your grades do not define who you are or what you can achieve in the future. If your results aren't what you hoped for, our school teams are on hand today to guide you through your options and help map out your next steps.

You should be so proud of all that you have achieved, and we hope you take the time to celebrate this fantastic milestone as you move on to your next chapter. You have built strong foundations for the future, and we are excited to see what you accomplish next. 💛🖤

🌟 2025-2026 A Year to Remember

As the academic year draws to a close, we're taking a moment to celebrate all that our family of schools has achieved together in 2025–26.

From national science and poetry prizes to Outstanding Catholic Schools Inspections, sacraments celebrated across our parishes, football and maths champions crowned, and a pilgrimage to Lourdes — it has been a year of faith, resilience and pride.

With heartfelt thanks to our pupils, staff, Governors and Directors, we look ahead with confidence and wish everyone a happy, healthy and restful summer. ☀️

Last week, pupils and staff from across the BKCAT came together at St Wilfrid's Catholic High School for our BKCAT Singing Festival 2026 — an evening of choral singing, accordion solos and joyful voices raised as one.

Pupils performed alongside a wonderfully special choir made up of staff, governors and former pupils of the Trust — a real reflection of the strength of the BKCAT family working together across generations. From the opening numbers to a rousing finale, the hall was full of music, with some standout solo performances along the way.

The festival forms part of the Diocese of Leeds Schools Singing Programme — the UK's leading Catholic singing provision, supporting over 6,800 children in 75 schools. Our thanks to everyone who makes this outstanding provision possible for the pupils of BKCAT.

A tremendously joyful and uplifting evening celebrating the talent, teamwork and faith of our pupils. Well done to every child who took part!

🫓🍷 First Holy Communion season:

🕊️ It’s been a huge joy to see so many of our children celebrating Our Lord in the Eucharist for their First Holy Communion in celebratory masses across our Trust’s parishes

🙏 These beautiful celebrations mark not just a special day, but the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith — nourished week by week by the act of receiving communion

🎉📚 Congratulations to Mr Karl Mackey, Headteacher of St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy, Dewsbury!

🎓 Mr Mackey has been awarded a highly prestigious scholarship from the Farmington Institute to undertake advanced study at Jesus College, Cambridge, and Harris Manchester College, Oxford — a wonderful recognition of his outstanding leadership

📖 His research, "Developing Culture using Catholic Virtues to Close the Disadvantage Gap," will explore how a strong Catholic ethos rooted in Gospel values can transform school culture and help every child flourish, regardless of background
