A huge congratulations to Jacob who has been crowned Sussex Under-14 Champion for 2026! 🎉

Jacob, who represents Sussex County in the Under-14 squad, competed in the Sussex County Boys & Girls Under-14 Championships at Manning’s Heath Golf Club back in June. He produced an incredible round, shooting one over par (73) to take the title! 👏

🎉 GCSE Results Day 2026! 🎉
This year group began their secondary journey during the disruption of COVID, with bubbles, masks and testing and were also the final cohort to start at our temporary Hurst Road site. Despite everything they faced, they have shown incredible resilience, determination and commitment.

🌟 Some fantastic individual achievements include:
👏 Dillan and Oisin – nine grade 9s each
👏 Amelia and Jonty – eight grade 9s each
👏 Jesse – seven grade 9s, alongside making a real difference through our Student Council

🏆️ Special mention to Georgia – grade 9s in Maths, Biology and Statistics. Georgia has overcome substantial obstacles throughout her secondary school journey, yet has continued to show exceptional determination and maintained excellent focus on her education despite the challenges she has faced.

We are immensely proud of every student and the journey behind every set of results. A huge thank you to our staff, families and wider school community for supporting our young people every step of the way. ❤️

Now it's time for the next chapter! We wish all of our Year 11 students the very best as they move on to college, sixth form, apprenticeships and beyond. 🚀

🤺🏆 Cheering on more of our students! Give it up for Sam B, Sam S and Tristan who recently represented Bohunt Horsham at the Sussex County Junior Team competition.

The team secured an impressive second-place finish, winning all of their matches apart from a narrow defeat to the eventual winners, Worthing.

An especially brilliant achievement given that the boys were the youngest team in their age group. A huge well done to all three for their skill, determination and teamwork! 👏

🏊‍♂️ Celebrating Toby’s incredible achievement! 🥇🥈

We’re incredibly proud of our student Toby, who recently represented Great Britain at the European Transplant Games 2026 in Arnhem, the Netherlands, competing in full GB kit! 👏

Toby, who received a kidney transplant in 2021, has competed in swimming at the British Transplant Games for several years. At the European Games, he competed in the 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m, 100m and 400m freestyle, as well as two team relays.

And what an incredible result! 🤩 Toby brought home one Gold and four Silver medals, including Gold in the 400m freestyle – his favourite event! 🥇🏊‍♂️

The European Transplant Games are a truly inspiring event, bringing together more than 1,000 organ and stem cell transplant recipients from 24 countries, with competitors aged from 8 to 80. 🌍❤️

Toby’s journey has involved many challenges including pain, medical appointments, seizures and operations, making this achievement all the more remarkable. His determination, resilience and commitment to swimming are an inspiration.

📚✨ Celebrating our 2026 BET Book Award winner! ✨📚

Last month, on Monday 13th July, we were delighted to welcome Brogen Murphy, author of Wildlands and winner of the 2026 Trust Book Award into school! 🏆📖

After reading all five shortlisted books throughout the Spring term and casting their votes in April, our Year 7 judging panels were thrilled to finally meet the winning author. 🎉

Brogen inspired the students with their passion for rewilding. They also enjoyed getting their books signed ✍️ and meeting fellow judges from The Costello School, Bohunt Farnborough, Bohunt School - Liphook, Priory School Official, Steyning Grammar School Day and Boarding, The Petersfield School and Bohunt School Worthing.

A huge thank you to Brogen for such a memorable visit and to Steyning Bookshop for hosting a fantastic pop-up bookshop. 📚💚

It was a wonderful celebration of Wildlands, storytelling, creativity and most importantly, the joy of reading! 🌿📚✨
