Violet Hummingbird Events has officially won Best Children’s Business Hampshire 2026 🥹 🤯 🤍

What started as a little idea around motherhood and family life has somehow grown into something I’m unbelievably proud of. There have been late nights, chaotic mornings, setting up parties whilst juggling the girls, taking huge leaps of faith and honestly just figuring things out as I go… so this feels completely surreal.

A couple of years ago I was leaving behind a 15 year career in midwifery and taking a massive leap into something completely different, which at times felt terrifying....So to now be here writing this feels wild 🥹

Running a small business can feel so personal because you pour so much of yourself into it, and being recognised like this means more than I can put into words.

To be shortlisted alongside so many incredible Hampshire businesses was amazing in itself, and whether part of the muddy awards or not, I truly think small businesses owners are superheroes! The amount of hard work, love, sacrifice and passion that goes on behind the scenes is something most people never fully see.

A huge thank you to my husband Rob for supporting our family whilst I chased this crazy dream, always backing my ideas (even the slightly mad ones 😂), and to my friends who constantly cheerlead me, share posts, hype me up and listen to every new idea along the way.

And thank you so much to every single person who has booked, shared, recommended, voted or supported Violet Hummingbird Events over the last almost 2 years. This little business means so much to me, so to receive this support and recognition honestly means the world.

We have been watching our little caterpillars make their chrysalis! 🐛

First they crawled all around and ate lots and then they hung upside down and made a cozy chrysalis to rest in. We are so excited to wait and see when the butterflies come out! 🦋✨

Nature is full of tiny surprises, and our class loved watching the change happen right before our eyes

This morning we’ve been looking at our new arrivals and wondering how they are going to change and grow over time. Our little ones used a magnifying glass to get a good look and we created mixed media pictures to go on our board. Keep checking back to see what becomes of our tiny friends 🐛

A relaxed, thoughtfully designed space where little ones can explore, create and play - with gentle, carefully considered details throughout and take home gifts 🤍
