Copton Ash Gardens

Copton Ash Gardens A small nursery growing alpines, mediterranean/dryland and woodland plants in our garden on free draining soil in South East UK site.

"You hear, Eugene?' said Lightwood over his shoulder. 'You are deeply interested in lime.' 'Without lime,' returned that unmoved barrister at law, 'my existence would be unilluminated by a ray of hope."

The original site of the first RHS Spring Flower Shows from 1888 to 1911, which predated Chelsea (and also illustrated the first ever Show Gardens centred around Rock Gardens and alpine plants). In recent years this has morphed from the more pinstripe image of lawns and summer bedding to much freer naturalistic and wildlife-friendly plantings, even including haystacks! https://www.innertemple.org.uk/.../INNER-TEMPLE-GARDEN... You have to wonder how much that might also permeate the conservative and more regimental values of the law as well as barristers contemplate their arguments strolling around the garden?

London Calling!

With cooler days ahead, and rain once again featuring in the forecast, our first plant fair at The Inner Temple could not be better timed. Come along tomorrow and experience 3 acres of historic gardens and our specialist nurseries, just a few minutes walk from Blackfriars station and Temple tube.

For more details, and a full list of nurseries, check out our website or listen to the latest episode of the Two Good Gardeners podcast - there are links in our bio!
