This week, year 1 and 2 have enjoyed reading The Everywhere Bear by Julia Donaldson and writing sentences to describe the bear, the classroom and when he gets lost down the drain.
We have recapped some number formation and place value to 20.
We have also had our first computing, geography and DT sessions too since coming back to school.

We had a lovely singing worship with Ms Leitch today.

Our Reception pupils have had a fantastic first two days. They are feeling settled in the classroom and enjoyed joining in with Maple Class Chatterbooks this morning. We have also buddied our Year Six pupils with them and they are extremely excited to help our Reception children learn more about Selling School life and routines. Wishing all our families a very peaceful weekend.

Good morning, all! We have been very busy preparing the school for your children. We welcome our new families into the Selling family and look forward to our existing families returning. To our school parents-

💙 To the parents and carers... this one's for you. 💚

As a new school year approaches, you might be ticking off uniform lists, labelling jumpers and finding school shoes...

But you might also be carrying a few butterflies of your own.

Whether your child is starting school for the very first time, moving into a new class or simply returning after the summer, it's completely natural to feel a mix of excitement, pride and maybe even a little sadness about how quickly they're growing up.

Children are incredibly resilient, and they'll take so much confidence from seeing you believe in them.

So take the photos. Hold their hand a little tighter. Celebrate this exciting new chapter together.

And remember... while you're trusting us with the people you love most, we'll be ready with warm smiles, kind hearts and open doors.

Beech class had a lovely afternoon concluding their topic on Bee Conservation by creating bee shelters and watering stations around the school, and planting seeds and bulbs to provide them with food. Well done Beech, you did a super job!
