We are recruiting! Childcare Nursery Cook 🧑‍🍳

We are now recruiting for a Nursery Cook to work within our nursery. You will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for our little ones.
You will be responsible for contributing to a high standard of care for all children in the nursery, providing and maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for children, staff, parents and all visitors, providing nutritious meals, snacks and beverages within a hygienic environment in line with the menus.*

The working hours are 30-40 hours over 5 days (Monday – Friday), by agreement.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• A recognised catering qualification at Level 2 or above
• At least two years’ experience of catering for young children and/or catering for special diets
• Up to date knowledge of current hygiene and food safety regulations
• Current food hygiene certificate
• Up to date specialist First Aid certificate or willing to complete training
• Current enhanced DBS Certificate
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good personal presentation and hygiene
• Flexible, can-do, helpful attitude
• Patient, caring and good sense of humour
• Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team.

We heard a squawking noise whilst we were out in the playground this afternoon so went to investigate!

We found a parrot in the gym carpark !
The owner came through the door and told us all she was called Penny the Parrot and she was waiting for him to finish work ! 🦜

Penny absolutely loved the childrens company. The children were super quiet so we didn't scare Penny as we spotted all the different coloured feathers Penny had ! 🤩🦜

Superstars and Brightstars did such good listening to the instructions and when Stassia was explaining where all the animals came from and what they like to eat. The were all so brave when it came to handling the different animals. 😁
