Love my job! Used to be a police officer dealing with children where education failed them now I get to be small part of the solution. Thanks everyone for their support thus far.

There are no so called 'great at maths' children in your child's class. Everything, is about unlocking a child's reading ability and then solidifying and creating new mathematical connections in the brain. Learning takes time and EVERY child has the potential to be the very best. Belief in themselves is another important step in that journey.

Primary Mastery Mathematics Specialist (trained and accredited), current primary and outstanding SEN teacher looking to help the primary children of the local area. As an ex police officer, I truly care about every child fulfilling their potential and believing in their abilities. A child who believes in themselves with a growth mindset is one that will succeed! Mastery and deep learning is important for children to have learning that is sustained. The definition of learning is a change to the long term memory which is why so many children lose their knowledge over time due to not making those important mathematical connections. I look forward to hearing from anyone who wants to find out more.

Every child should love maths and believe that mistakes are not failures but opportunities for learning and growth. The true definition of learning is making a permanent change to the long term memory which shows the importance of deep, Mastery based learning that works on creating and solidifying mathematical connections in the brain.

Primary Mastery Mathematics Specialist (trained and accredited), current primary teacher and outstanding SEN teacher looking to help out the primary children of the local area. As an ex police officer, I truly care about every child fulfilling their potential and believing in their abilities. A child who believes in themselves is one who will succeed! Even though my strength and passion is Mathematics, I also teach and tutor the whole primary curriculum if the need should arise.
