We are excited to have had lots of new enquiries for people wanting to start riding so we thought we would share the inside info on the process of registering on our booking system and a few Do’s and Don’t

🌿 BOOKING IN WITH US 🌿
Let’s start with this… we’re absolutely thrilled you’re interested in riding with us here at Larkspur! 🥳
Whether you’re brand new to horses or already fluent in stirrup chat, we can’t wait to welcome you.
Before we send you trotting happily into the sunset, all new riders begin with a 30-minute private assessment lesson. Think of it as a friendly “get to know you” ride.
Your assessment helps us to:
🐴 See where you’re at with your riding and get to know you
(Newbie, returning rider, or secret saddle pro… we’ve got you)
🐴 Match you with the perfect pony or horse
🐴 Chat about your goals. Confidence, fun, learning to canter, or Olympic dreams welcome here!
After your lesson, your instructor will give feedback and let you know which level you’re currently riding at and whether group lessons or private lessons would suit you best.
That said… the final choice is always yours 😊

🌼 WALKOUTS (for our younger riders)
We also offer super fun Walkouts, perfect for younger riders wanting a relaxed, confidence-building introduction to our lovely ponies 🐴
• Ponies are led by our amazing Junior Groom team
• An instructor is always on hand
• Parents can relax knowing everyone is safe and supported
Expect gentle pony rides, confidence-boosting games, countryside vibes, and the occasional X-Factor-worthy Larkspur singalong 🎶😊

🗓️ HOW TO BOOK
Assessments & 1st Rider Walkouts
Booking is easy-peasy. Just follow these steps:
1️⃣ Click here 👉 https://larkspur.horseriding.app/
2️⃣ Select “New? Create an Account!”
3️⃣ Enter your email and create a password
(If booking for a child, the main profile must be a parent/adult)
4️⃣ Verify your email
5️⃣ Log in and complete your personal details
(Even if you’re spectating!)
6️⃣ Add your child or any additional riders to your profile
Once that’s done,
⏳ Wait for us to verify it for your account.
Then you’ll be ready to book and pay online 🎉

🧤 WHAT TO WEAR (and what to leave at home!)
We want you comfy, safe, and ready to ride. Here’s our quick checklist:
✅ Clothing
• Long trousers only
• No jeans, skirts, shorts, or loose/wide-leg trousers
✅ Hair
• Tied back in a low ponytail
• No plaits, clips, beads, or bows please
✅ Jewellery
• Please remove earrings, watches, necklaces & bracelets
• Medical bracelets are absolutely fine ❤️
🚫 No-go items
• Phones, car keys, sandals, trainers, flip-flops
• Cameras or Go-Pros (not horse-friendly ☎📸)
🦺 Hi-Viz
• Must be worn on walkouts
• We have spares if you don’t have your own
🐎 Weight limit
• 14 stone, to keep our horses happy and healthy
