Roald Dahl Day was celebrated at KS2 Science Club last week with expanding Haribos (like Violet in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory), shrinking plastic charms (Mike Teavee was shrunk in that book, too!) and some wonderful 'medicines' concocted (as George's Marvellous Medicine)! Great fun had by all!

Looking for another couple of home ed teens or tweens for a new in-person hands-on practical science for fun club. Trial at 10.15 on Thursday 24 September.

Following on from the success of the Tuesday noon group, I’ll be adding a Thursday morning group to the calendar. The KS3 group develops the skills of our teen and tweenie STEAM enthusiasts in an engaging way, with the focus firmly on fun! The participants will take part in The Great Honeycomb Challenge to see whose Crunchie concoction will grow the biggest, and also consider the role of gases in other foodstuffs. This class was a favourite last term, so I’m excited to repeat it with a new group of budding scientists!

The trial session will be held at my house in Farnham, and the cost is £20, payable in advance. Please get in touch to book your space.

New for September – additional home ed KS3 Science Group – trial at 10am on Thursday 10 September – book now!
