You can track your club distances.
Helps you write down things you've done well.
Good for a detailed wedge matrix (saves trying to remember 12 distances)
There are many plus points for a journal, I like to use mine to record things that come into my mind at strange times (that I might forget)
If you write it down, it adds a sense of purpose and accountability.
Why not try it?

Avoid 3 putts.
Avoid penalty strokes or lost balls.
Never take on a shot you are not confident of pulling off.
There are plenty of other great ways to help you achieve your goals.
Has anyone got any good suggestions that worked for them?

What do you do?
I believe there is acceleration, but it is shot-dependent.
Smooth and progressive is my personal choice.
No one chips well if they decelerate!

I'm a keen "line" user. Have done so for many years.
I like to draw on my golf ball, it helps me to feel confident of starting the ball on the line I have chosen.
Appreciate it's NOT for everyone.
What do you prefer?

whether you should risk or go for reward, depends on your skill level, the course layout, and the situation. If you're confident in your abilities, an aggressive shot might pay off, but if you're new or facing hazards, playing conservatively is safer. Assess the course, score, and conditions to decide if the potential reward outweighs the risk.
If there are significant hazards (water, bunkers, etc.) near the green or fairway, consider whether the risk is worth it. A safer shot might be more beneficial in the long run.
Pin Position: A tucked flag or difficult pin placement might encourage you to take a more conservative approach, while an easier, center-of-the-green pin placement could invite a more aggressive shot.
Whichever you choose, remember to fully commit and trust your decision!

The position of the clubface at impact (open, closed, or square) is the primary determinant of the initial direction the ball will travel. A square face points the ball straight, an open face (facing away from the target) will cause the ball to veer right for a right-handed golfer, and a closed face will cause it to veer left.
This is the direction the clubhead is moving at impact (from inside to outside, outside to inside, or along the target line). A swing path that matches the clubface angle will keep the ball on the intended line.
Relationship: This refers to the combination of the clubface angle and the swing path. If the clubface is open relative to the swing path, it can cause a slice (curving right for a right-handed golfer). A closed clubface relative to the swing path can lead to a hook (curving left).
Where the ball strikes the clubface impacts the trajectory. A shot struck in the center of the clubface (sweet spot) will result in the most accurate and powerful flight. Off-center hits (toward the toe or heel) will affect ball direction and spin.
The loft (angle of the clubface) affects both the trajectory and spin. A higher loft (on wedges or short irons) produces a higher ball flight, while a lower loft (on drivers and long irons) produces a flatter trajectory.
This is the angle at which the clubhead approaches the ball (whether it's steeper or shallower). A steeper angle of attack typically leads to a higher ball flight, while a shallower angle of attack results in a lower ball flight.
This is the loft that the clubface has at the moment of impact, which can differ from the static loft of the club depending on the grip and the swing. It is affected by how the hands and body are positioned during the swing.
The speed of the clubhead at impact affects how far the ball travels. A higher clubhead speed generates more distance, assuming proper contact with the ball.

Based on a 7-Iron (I get asked this a lot)!
The distance you hit a 7-iron can vary depending on factors like your skill level, swing speed, and physical condition. However, here's a general guideline:
Beginners: Around 120-130 yards
Intermediate players: Around 140-160 yards
Advanced/Professional players: Around 160-180 yards
Keep in mind, factors like weather conditions (wind, temperature) and the type of golf ball you're using can also influence the distance. Itโs also important to focus on consistency, so you may find that with practice, your distance with the 7-iron improves!

Both fruits and chocolate can be great options, depending on what youโre looking for!
Fruit: Itโs refreshing and provides natural sugars, fiber, and vitamins. Fruit like bananas, apples, or berries can give you a steady source of energy without that sugar crash.
Chocolate: Dark chocolate, in particular, is rich in antioxidants and provides a quick energy boost thanks to the caffeine and sugar content. Itโs perfect if you need a pick-me-up during the game.
If you're aiming for sustained energy, fruit might be the better choice, but if you want a quick burst of energy (and a bit of indulgence), chocolate works well too! You could even bring both if you're feeling adventurous. ๐ Whatโs your usual golf snack go-to?

Playing different golf courses offers a variety of benefits that can really enhance your game and overall experience. Here are some reasons to mix it up:
Variety in Challenges: Each course has its own layout, design, and set of challenges. By playing different courses, you encounter new obstacles, different types of terrain, and varying hole designs. This helps you develop a more well-rounded game as you adapt to each situation.
Skill Development: Different courses will test different aspects of your game. For example, some might require precise driving, others could focus on your short game or putting. This keeps you on your toes and helps you improve in areas where you might not usually be challenged.
Experience and Learning: You can learn from other courses' unique features, whether itโs navigating tricky sand traps, reading sloped greens, or dealing with windy conditions. Each round offers a chance to pick up new strategies or tips.

Purpose: Regular lessons are part of a consistent, long-term approach to improving your skills, focusing on gradual development and technique refinement. Panic lessons, however, are often a reaction to frustration or a sudden performance slump, aiming to quickly fix perceived flaws without a structured plan.
Mindset: Regular lessons foster a calm, patient mindset, emphasizing steady progress and building a strong foundation. Panic lessons can be driven by urgency, leading to hasty decisions and potentially reinforcing bad habits.
Effectiveness: Regular lessons typically lead to more sustainable improvement because they are designed with a thoughtful progression. Panic lessons, while possibly offering short-term fixes, often fail to address underlying issues and can hinder long-term growth.

Fantastic10 out of 10 swing form Sam Lemon. ๐
Will that mean lower scores on the course?
I think so.

I wish I could achieve this score.
